I've been looking at the Cateye Micro Wireless. It has all the basic functions and seems to get good reviews.

I'm also looking for some lights and a helmet - any suggestions ?

I have that, its great but its just stoped taking a speed signal so I am gonna have to recalibrate it again, I hate doing it.

Got mine off eBay.

right, that chainring.....basically the bashguard thing rotates with your pedal stroke and the chainring comes with two holes so you can have the bash at the bottom while your right foot is forward Or to the back of the bike? Weird as ----.

How are they standing up?
It looks like a glass under the far pedal :)

Helmet, I'd say Met 5th Element. For lights, well its up to you, but I'd choose the latest kit, which happens to be Cateye's EL530 and LD1100.
Thanks, i'll get that helmet and check out the lights.

Upside down pint glass propped under the pedal is what's holding them up.

And yes, they are hookworms on the park bike.

And the bashguard can be positioned for right foot forward or left foot forward, depending on your stance.

Got a Whyte E5-XT on Monday and took it out for its first ride today.
First impression is that i have never riden a bike that climbs so well even on the loose stuff. Staying smooth i could get up stuff my lighter hardtail (Kona Kula) would struggle with.

Downside is that riding the fireroads around Guisborough woods has caused my rear wheel to buckle quite badly. I dont't recall hitting anything hard!!
Riden the bike for less than an a hour and less than 10 miles and it needs to go back to the shop, just my luck.

Love it though and can't wait to get out on it again.
