The frame doesnt have horizantal dropouts so its hard to get a good chain tension so maybe hes using a super short cage rear mech to take up the tension instead of getting halflinks and ****.

^^

as said people use a rear mech set in the right posistion to keep the chain tight. being a short mech stops it from bouncing of thing :o

:(

got back from work too late to go pick my bike up so i have to wait till tomorrow night now. devestated

Those look very nice indeed, bit out of my budget I expect and I've just ordered a Rockhopper anyway, will post some pics up over the weekend hopefully.

The new spesh range looks very interesting, some of the higher end bikes have suspension which is made by spesh themselves.

links or pics?

I read in MBR that they are, never saw any pictures of the bikes thou.

The Composites above are like $6000  The X-1 is $2600, (probably about £1500-£1700 here).

picked my bike up earlier :D

just cant wait to ride it properly yet. probably wont be till sunday as i have a driving test tomora :S

they had some of the 2007 specialized rangein the shop i got my bike from (theyre a specialized dealer) although i must admit i didnt pay enough attention to notice any of them having specilizeds own suspension.
