I've had my bike a week and a bit now and only just got around to have a proper outing on it, been to Hamsterley Forest with matt_fsr and another friend - it's been a top day but I'm nackerd. Here's how the Pitch looked after 2 rounds of the Skills Loop and one round of the Black Route:

Best £1000 I have ever spent, it's been a joy to ride today - going to give it a proper clean tomorrow :)

nice picture, wish i had some decent places to ride near me.

being north london sucks, epping is really the only place to ride sadly, unless i go buckemshire way

any ideas of good places to ride near north london/EN1/EN11 area?

XC race in the morning, looks like it's going to be a slop fest. Already regretting my tyre choice no matter which combo I picked out of the pile.

the ropes there :)

Bike wise anything from hardtail to full DH bike will do.

cheers for the info about Aston Hill, wondering though is it suitible for hardtails?

i got a rockhopper and so far it good on most of the stuff around epping, but i not exactly pro at MTB so should i tempt fate :D

Anyone watch RD of the WC downhill this weekend? What an awesome race, two wins in a row for Steve Peat making him have 17 world cup wins! More than anyone else! Also Sam Hills crash was pretty bad at the top! Roll on Fort Bill

Watched it on Freecaster this morning when I got to work, great stuff.

US Open this weekend, I should be there riding on Friday and Spectating for the final on Sunday :D

Very happy for Old School, but Minnaar is my man! :)
Cmooon Greg, I'm sure hes gonna kill it at Fort Bill.

On a side note - how much of a Dark Horse is Sick Mick?!
