My cycle to work is 16.8 miles and it takes me 48mins on a very hilly route.

Good luck for yours.

I worked it out as a 51.8km round trip. I think it's more uphill on the way than the way back. 1:15 there, 0:58 on the way back. I'm sure the time will decrease once I get into it a bit more. Felt very awake and didn't want to die when I got to work.

Definitely will be doing it again, but won't get a chance til next week due to on calls.

SDK, how did you get the little route profile? I've been messing about on the mapmyfitness.com site and can't seem to get it quite right.

Which parts on my rockhopper could i replace with carbon? Im sure i have seen seat posts made from CF and fancy making a few bits when work is a little quieter during the summer.

Why the need to change a few bits to carbon? Save weight?

A number of things can be changed including, seat post, bars, rear mech and even hubs I think.

I've got an 08 Cube Fritzz, had it about a year now.
