The bike's pretty nice too.

Indeed she is :D

Anyone remember the old MBUK issues of "readers wives" - where you had to include both the girly and the bike in order to get printed?

I'll have to get some pics of mine sorted - wont be too clean and shiny now though, after 15 months or so of use :p

I've got an 08 Cube Fritzz, had it about a year now.
Fullsize
(Better quality - new camera ;) )

I've been looking at getting that, how does it perform? Can I see a few pics?

I saw that building in the background and thought "that looks strangely familiar", looked at your location and guess what. Your in the same town as me! :P

It's had a bit of a spruce up.

I've got an 08 Cube Fritzz, had it about a year now.

Specs:

Cube Fritzz 08 frame
Fox 36 TALAS RC2 fork
Fox RP23 shock
Full XT drivetrain
Formula The One breaks
Nobby Nic typres
Synctace P6 carbon seatpost
Gore Ride-On fully sealed gear cables

~13.5kgs

It's amazing both up and down, a proper all round bike.

How do you find the fritzz in muddy conditions especially the rear shock performance. I was considering getting one but that shock position just never sat right with me.

Anyway onto the mrp, you can hardly see it from the drive side and I don't notice its there but it has taken a few rock/log hits and for the cost of 37 quid over a new chain rings its worth it. OK it adds 100g to your bike but weight has never really bothered me.

I got the shop to fit it
A) because they had my bike due to shock failure
B)I don't have the XTR left crank arm removal tool and apparently some times you need to skim a bit off them to get a good fit
C) they did it for free

here some pics.

Very pleased with it and the spec is pretty damn amazing for just £700, especially those Fox forks which are around £600, almost the cost of the bike!

Frame Aluminium 6061 Double Butted Frame
Fork Fox F series RL 32 with rebound and LO
Rims Alex EN24, Disc, Aluminium
Front Hub Shimano M525, Disc, QR
Rear Hub Shimano M525, Disc, QR
Tyres Continental Race King 2.2
Cassette Shimano Deore CS-HG50 9 speed, 11-32
Crankset Shimano Deore LX 44/32/22
Shift Levers Shimano Deore M530, Black
Rear Derailleur Shimano SLX
Front Derailleur Shimano Deore LX
Chain Shimano CN-HG53
Brakes Tektro Auriga Comp, hydraulic disc brake
Stem Concept SL 100mm, 31.8/28.6mm
Handlebars Concept SL Riser 31.8/22.2mm
Saddle Concept SL MTB
Seat Post Concept SL

It's also light and very well built. I will upgrade the pedals to Wellgo MG1's and the wheelset to Mavic Crossride, apart from that I will probably leave it until something needs replacing.

Very nice Focus? Done many miles yet? How are you finding the tyre's?

SDK^, didn't you say you was going to use some Speed King Supersonic's?

I only got it this afternoon but did take it out for a quick blast around my local wood, did about 5 miles and loved every minute of it. It's very fast and incredibly easy to climb. The frame size is perfect which is good because I ordered it without even trying it!

The tyres are awesome, very fast rolling and excellent cross country.

Focus bikes are fairly rare in the UK because you can only get them from one place which is mail order only (Wiggle) who import them direct from the manufacturer in Germany. They are awesome bikes IMO and you get a lot for your money, definitely worth looking at.

Do you go to the uni or just live in Loughborough?!

Ahaha I know you....

You haven't been on any Wednesday rides lately.... :p

Haha no, I've been missing a bolt part of the suspension linkage, just got the replacement today!

Who are you?!?

It's been fine, the rear mudguard is actually really effective! Cheers for the pictures of the MRP guard. Did you get the BB mount version?
