It's had a bit of a spruce up.

May I ask what hubs your running on those rims, I have some similar rims and have been thinking about building them up.

Cheers.

Actually, if you are only riding 5 miles to your workplace, as long as you take on enough fluids before and during the ride, you shouldn't really need that much in the way of carbs to set you up for the ride there.

Make sure once you get there that you have a halfway decent recovery meal or drink/shake though.

My ride to work is 34 miles there and back so I kinda need my Porridge before I set off. :D

Thanks for the tips I tried it this morning was great no ****ty feeling inbetween the rides.
Just a glass of pure orange juice and a banana and I was pretty much set.

Another problem arisen though is do you/anyone know a decent discreet quick release type mudguard for a Suntour XCM-V2 fork? or just stick with a mudguard down the bottom tube? infront

It is a hardtail bike so maybe full mudguard at the back?
Because of the rain I had to bike quite slowly today was afraid of a mud line down my back

I have a problem. I think I should have gone for a medium Spech Pitch instead of a large one.

I think I must prefer a cramped cockpit because I always feel more confident like I can move my weight around and throw the bike around more & more accurately. Also the meduim comes with a medium spring which would make the pikes sit into the sag better.

Oh well, i'm still happy with the bike, but I wonder what the chances are of finding somebody who wants to swap with their medium?

its worth a try. sign up to a few bike forums and ask around

i prefer a smaller bike too although that maybe comes from my bmx days. my old kona stinky was in small :o just easier to throw about

Aye he done an awesome time considering he practically stopped on the last tech corner at the bottom and slammed on to do a huge whip over the finish lol :)

It’s a shame they were only covering the bottom 1/3 of the track Live.
The colours on Hills TLD outfit were a bit garish - check out the bright pink glove.

Went out for another quick 30 mins today to get used to SPD-SL , finding it a bit iffy when I stop at lights and find myself having to look down to clip in properly - definetely more practice needed!

The riders were set off 2 mins apart and the fastest times were around 4:50 so its impossible to cover an entire run.

Atmosphere was immense at the finish line, especially with brit riders on course (and everybody goes mental for Gee :D ).
Thot young Josh Bryceland did well.

Aye, Josh done a very impressive time, one of the only Juniors in a long time to take the step upto the Senior ranks and be up there!

I think the top 10 should be shown live with full coverage all the way down,; after all, this is the F1 of MTB'ing.

Yeah it's good to see the young riders coming through. Blenkinsop winning Schladming end of last season was awesome.

On the DH World Cup theme - Check out the latest film release from Clay Porter: The Tipping Point; it's awesome !!

They showed the section out of the start gate for the top 10, the useless commentator mentioned they didn't have a cameraman in the woods this year though for some reason.
