So, it means I will have to break into the Conroe build fund to get a new bike.
Got around £500 tops to spend.
Did have a Claud Butler Alpina last time. It was my first 'proper' bike. Bought it for £350 about 20 months ago.
Kinda damaged the Alpina quite badly as I put it through its paces even though I dont DH or anything extreme.
Looking to get a more solid bike this time around. I rememer seeing a while ago in this thread that the Giant XTC SE is probs the best one for under £500. do you bike guru's agree?
Suggestions and comments welcome.
Thanks![]()
A claud butler cape wrath, yes I know it's a crap frame, but I'm low on money at the moment, so I'll deal with them when I've got some more moneyBreamy said:pikes are a much better choice lol. what frame they on?
.Hornton Hill was where I went like last year, but I haven't heard a whisper from there for a long while. I go up to Aston Hill when I have the time. There's a place called porc near to where I live, I used to go that quite often, but it's been taken over by 14 years olds with bikes covered in mbuk stickers who can't ride for **** but have bikes that cost about 10X the price of mine :\.Breamy said:where do you go for dh then?
nope, don't have a camera either, I'm generally camera shy, although I'll probably pick one up for uniBreamy said:got any pics of your bike?
