OMG I can not freaking wait!
7 days and I'll be screaming down the alps :)

Just heard about Crans Montana, the Swiss side - check this track out.

Crans Montana was the last stop of our Roadtrip this year.. It was supposed to be Todtnau in Germany but it got rained off.. Let me tell you, no words can describe how much better that track is than how it looks in that video. It's a bit of a breaker, but my god can the Swiss build tracks. There is another easier Red run when you turn right out of the lift station instead of going back on yourself to get to the Black DH (That one) which is also an absolute hoot. Just watch out for crosswinds on the Step-ups and doubles :D

How you finding the Morewood by the way? I'm finally looking for something to replace my Racelink as I've had two over half a decade and fancy something else now. Evil Revolt seems to be heading the pack but i'de forgotten about the Morewood.

Hols booked for September - looking for a commercial property. Looks like I could be going to live on a Ski slope come November! Skiing/snowboarding in the winter and mountainbiking in the summer! :D

Im after a bit of advice! I used to be really into biking a few years ago but studying kind of put it to a stop! I'm looking to get a bike for around £500 to be used for single track but also for general riding about. I've always wanted a nice Specialized but can't afford to be spending upwards of £1000! Any suggestions?

SC - how are you packing / transporting your bike?

Sticking it in the back of the car. Will just take the pedals and wheels off, possibly also the DM stem so it can be packed tighter.
A mate is taking all my tires out (got 3 pairs extra just in case I poop myself and slam the brakes too much

Skill is definetly THE factor though

Quoting Darren Barrecloth : You need a little bit of skill, and a hell of a lot of determination - Seasons

Skill is needed I think, but I think balls is the biggest factor - just learning to let go was the biggest trick when I moved from AM bike to DH bike

Crans Montana was the last stop of our Roadtrip this year..

Sounds amazing, and I cannot wait to hit it... albeit that im a tad nervous :)

The Makulu is Phenominal - I will talk your ear off if you are willing to listen :)
The revolt seems nice and I had a go at it, but for me - there is only one choice! The build I felt of the Revolt was rather heavy too, but then I dont think he specifically tried to build a light bike.

I reckon if someone put a gun to my head and forced me to have another bike (I'm not allowed to have a Makulu) that K-9 industries bike looks like the dogs danglies :)

If you want, you can always have a ride on mine, if you are willing to come to me. I'm based in Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire - 5 minutes away from Aston hill.

add me to msn deonfouche @ gmail . com or Skype - sup3rc0w as I'm always online, thanks to the iPhone :p

Indeed, whilst there's lot of benefits to carbon, it simply requires too much nannying and failures are catastrophic.
I use my Carbon bike for some pretty rugged riding; 6ft drop offs etc and it hasn't missed a beat.
There are just as many Aluminium frame breaks to Carbon breaks (ratio of frames in use).

A lifetime Warranty covers any damage if it happens to snap.

That new Remedy looks beautiful

What is the chain made from?

Got to love the new Sram X-0 stuff too!

barkey52, whats the spec of your GT HT? Nice peice of kit by the looks of things.
