Miffed, a lot :(

Couldn't race this weekend. Practise went well and I was ready to go, but ended up in hospital - well my puppy ended up in hospital for 2 days and I didn't have the energy left to race after being awake all night sick with worry. :(

On the upside the Mbuzi is finally taking shape, although I think I will need to send him to Weigh watchers as soon as the bank balance settles :p

I have TT bars on my Pinarello but I don't TT.

I find it gives an alternative position for you especially on long routes when you get to that "struggling to stay comfortable" stage. :p

I find anything that had you leaning forward is awfull at that stage, not to mention my shorts give me permenant wedgie.

Went up the local downhill track today with my mate for the last time before i go back to uni :(
Had an amazing time. Did a full run of the track which we've never done before (usually some1 will fall off or we stop for a break). Braking fingers were completely dead and my discs could boil water drops instantly.

Stopped at the BMX track on the way home and built a "tabletop" :p

Here's a pic of my mate doing a drop on the track:

Awesome looking ride!!!

I couldn't source a Planet X on the Cyclescheme at the time which is why I ended up with the Pinarello, but the PX was certainly near/at the top of my list.

Enjoy!! ;)

*EDIT Just noticed it has Schwalbe Stelvio's on it. Excellent tyres, I'm running those atm on mine.

Nice Planet X. Love the plain carbon weave look. Carbon shouldnt be hidden under layers of paint.
Just put my Carbon TCR on fleabay. Illness is making road bike to uncomfortable.

Hopefully the weather will hold out for you so you can get some miles on it.

to continue the post above about the shimano 105 shifter issue
after sending in the shifter yesterday they have conluded that it was not
possible to repair and since they did not have a matching colour to my
current shifter they decided to send me a whole new black set of 105 :D.

Awesome customer service from wiggle they answered all my mails within minutes and even offered this. Excellent.

All in all saved me around 100 quid to buy the shifter probably.

Is it hard to install 105 shifters by the way?

It's pretty easy.

Remove bar tape.
put shifter on handlebars, screw it on, not tight though just so it's not flopping about.
Install brake cable.
put bar tape back on
Install gear cable.

My right shifter messed up, so I returned em in warranty and they sent me a whole new set, flogged em on ebay for 70 quid :p

Apparently with carbon frames, the outer weave layer is cosmetic only, the inner layer is just solid black.

From tomorrow i'm hitting the 7Stanes trails for 6 days of fun - woohoo :) :)
I'm back and what an awesome trip; perfect weather and super gnarly trails !!!
Over the six days we hit all the following 7Stanes tracks

Already planning a trip back next April and Fort William in September.
