Did have a look on Ribble, Suppose I could hold on for a few more weeks and save the extra up, the Sportive and GranFondo look nice. I also liked the much cheaper 7005SL alloy frame, but they don't do it in a white 54 :)

Had some problems with the rear derailleur and then i got it back with a buckled wheel:(

Steer clear of ribble (for bikes), if you think you've had problems with halfords, ribble will probably make them look good!

Ouch!!!. What happened?.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the Wellgo's and the DMR's are made by the same manufacturer / in the same factory or something?. I might be wrong on that but it sticks in my mind from somewhere.

wellgo make a huge percentage of pedals from all manufacturers. same as velo must make over half the worlds seats. when you dig deep you realise theres a lot of companys who just pick parts out of taiwanese catalogues and have there names stuck on or a slight modification. this is especially obvious in bmx and mtb jump bike parts!

anyway back to the original point the dmr and plain wellgo pedal do have slightly different looking bodys l but the profiles are near identical. i had some DMRs about 10 years ago and have always used wellgos since then. just cant justify double the price unless theres an obvious difference im missing.

apart form the lead time (about 3 weeks) i've got no complaints about mine - lovely bike for the money. £913 got me their 7005Sl with carbon monostays and a full Campagnolo Veloce and Khamsin wheels.

I'd have a good look at Planet-X as well though, great bikes!

Excellent price on the Float fork :D Paid the same for my Vanilla R's which were 2nd hand, but more or less Brand New.

DMR/Wellgo - Never heard much about the WellGo pedals. Personally my DMR V8's have been superb, due for a pin replacement after this year I think but have had superb use out of them.
They're exactly the same price on CRC - Personally I'd go with the DMR's, something looks a bit strange about the WellGo's
The DMR V12's; There's the normal V12's (ChroMo Axle & sealed bearings) and the V12 Mag's. These V12 Mag's are the same as the normal V12's but have a magnesium alloy body and have an optional titanium axle. All weighing a mere 350g!!

Personally my V8's will do just fine.

what would happen if i put these forks on a frame that was supplied with 100mm forks?Andy
What bike Andy?
One thing is if the bike is still in warranty - check to make sure putting them on will not invalidate the warranty ;)

Bike is a Marin Bolinas Ridge Hydro.

Warranty wise im not really bothered as most parts have been changed.

Cheers

Andy
