They may just need re-bedding in if you haven't used them in a while and there is plenty of pad left on them, you could try rubbing them on some rough sandpaper to re-bur them then bed them in again. And they may need a bleed.
I had them out when I cleaned the rotors, I gave them a light going over with some fine wet&dry paper and I've probably done 75 miles on them since then.

They certainly work, but I used to be able to upend the bike with one finger and that's certainly not the case anymore.

Is there any way to adjust the bite point at the lever? There's a small allen-head screw behind the lever that adjusts the lever reach, but not the actual bite point. The rear/left lever is just right but the front/right lever bites quite close to the bar, despite there being plenty of pad left.

Might just sack the lot off and buy some Saints!

If there as old as you said they may need a full bleed then all new fluid, I know there is bite point adjust on the tech lever but not sure about the mini; didnt think there was tho.

Hey guys. Though id post some pics of my new'ish' bike. Got it a couple of weeks ago. Luving it so far. Was just wondering whether anyone can spot any obvious upgrades that i could make without spending a whole lot more money.

So far, have changed the grips to some lock on grips and replaced the spd pedals with some wellgo magnesium flat pedals which are great.

Any other thoughts? Mainl use is offroad, trail riding mainly

cheers;)

Are my eyes deceiving me or are you brake levers the 'wrong' way round i.e. Front is Rear should be a vice versa? Unless you put them like that?

Lovely looking bike though.

Most other countries seem to wire them up this way.

I almost went over the handlebars in Germany before I realised they were the wrong way around.

yeah mate, good spot. Some of you guys on here are real hawks

Came like that when i got the bike. Was considering switching them around but got used to it pretty quick. Was a little tough at the beginning though, nearly went over a few times.

Did the Balblair Black last night with a couple of mates. It was fantastic!
1st time I've done it all in one. Quite slow and technical on the way up with some very nice natural rock features.
It just seems to keep going up and up, but that makes the decent all the more fun :) wide open rock gardens and tight twisty single track forest runs.

Anyone else been there?

sounds ace m8 :D its another one to add to my evergrowing list of must ride trails :p
on an unrelated note, i was out riding ordiequish yesterday to get some miles under my belt and tried the Gordzilla trail which i'd never tried until now & wow it's rubbish!!!!
hopefully if the weather holds out i'll be at ben aigen today

Can anyone recommend a small day bag for a 30-40 mile ride for the summer? I have a camelbak cloud walker but its a bit large just for carrying a few odds and sods, would need space for a bladder (2l), and a small waterproof and some snacks.

The climbs are intense, great workout! It just seems to keep going up and up but like I said, the decent makes it all worthwhile.
Be sure to do the full black. You get to a point where you can cut back to the blue, or take a right and do the rest of the Black (about 12km in total) but it is signposted so you cant miss it.
That comes right before a long tricky man made "staircase" of sorts :) good spot for a breather

When I did that last year we did The soup dragon, Gordzilla, The Haggis, The Gully Monster, then headed over to the Mast Blast, and back over to Ordiequish all in the same day. There is some nice riding there but it's all too short. Adding it all together makes it worth while I think. I'm told Ben Aigan is rubbish. Didn't manage to do The bunny as it was closed for a Rally when we were there.

Edit: Posty delivered my ebay bargain:
