These help to explain it any better?
Edit: rhysduck We need pics of the SS2!!!
Yes - thanks! :)
Seems like a rear Maxle is £50. Ouch. Still not sure what I need.. Bah!
Edit: oh wait, so the bolts that I have with the conversion kit will screw directly into the Hope hub? Oh.

Pics? Hmm.. I'll see what I can do when I get home from work ;)

Well guys im back from france, 6 days early. Managed 5 days riding then came down with glandula fever, not eaten for 4 days and bit the bullet and flew home. Had to leave my van there for my mates to drive back in so all good. Got blood tests and other stuff at home now due to not being right for the past couple of months so i feel im going to have a fair bit of time off the bike. However i did manage to get my sorry ass upto Champery World Cup and it was amazing! Best thing ive ever seen and im so glad i went! The track was insane especially on Friday in Qualifying. Ended up helping the Tri-Ride camera guy who puts videos on dirt which was good fun :D Will upload photos when i find my camera! All those going out there, have fun and go ride Morgins! Its an AMAZING place. Probaly the best in the area

So this is my new project; Have never built a bike from scratch, I've always added bits to my existing Hardtail. Should be interesting:

The new frame (Intense Slopestyle 2):

And a shot of my current steed:

I'll change the pictures if they are too big :)
To get:
  • Stem,
  • Handlebars,
  • Brakes,
  • Wheels,
  • Pedals

Awesome frame there rhysduck, I'd love a SS or SX Trail for my next bike.
Thanks :) That was my thinking too, I've always liked the look of the SX frames/bikes and was torn really between the two. I'd ridden the SS so that's what threw me. And it's a better looking frame :)
Nice frame. It needs a 180mm fork up front though. It's not like you are going to pedal it far so might as well go big. :D
I was thinking of it, but the Van RC2 fork was quite cheap, and new. So couldn't really say no. The frame will take a 200mm fork if required, turning it into a more than capable mini-dh bike. Although, the bike with its 160mm fork will handle DH well enough for me ;)

erm no. looking at that chart my mountain bike should be 21" that would be far to streached for me, plus it would be like climbing a gate every time I ride it.

I dont think that chart is any good tbh, I wonder what others will think.

I'm 5'7" and was advised by my LBS (Highly reputable Square Wheels in Strathpeffer) that a 16" frame would be perfect for me.

So far it has been :)

Smallest out of my mates bikes, and they sometimes take the mick. But I'm the fastest with the best technical ability....maybe they all have bikes that are too big? :D ;)
