Looks pretty cool that.

My main concern that when being used for mountain biking, mud getting everywhere in the frame, and also things getting stuck in the gaps in frames e.g. twigs/branches etc.

its a trials bike so wont be seeing much mud, if any really.

And sorry but that thing looks horrid imo

That's a serious piece of work, if the angles add up then fair play to you mate, my hat comes off to you :).

It rode perfectly, all you had to was lean back, or pull the bars into you and aply light presure on the pedals and the front end comes up. It was odd at first being so high up but soon get use to it. Felt so light on the back wheel

I'm just back from my first proper ride of the Nomad! Wow!!! I had to slow myself down because I was going quicker than I ever did on the Heckler on the decents!!!! An amazing bike! Now to go to the bike shop to place an order! :D

BTW, Juicy 5 brakes suck!

I bet they dont suck as much as Hayes Soles.. I hit a rock Friday cause the bloody things didnt slow me down!

Nomads do ride nice (though not as nice as an intense 5.5 in my opinion), its just a shame they look like a dog taking a poo ;)

Hayes Soles are pretty poor. At least the juicy 5's are relativly easy to lock.

I had a quick shot of an Intense 5.5 in the carpark today. They are nice but the Nomad poo's all over it! :p

The detail shots of the bike show a PG990 cassette... what?

Also: Twisters or triggers?

And: Did you have a choice on the brakes?
It'd probably depend on the kit for the cassette and brakes. As for twisters or triggers, what do you think?! ;).

It's a complete custom build. So everything listed is my choice.

The carbon fibre bars should be strong enough for my diminutive stature, as should the 240 hubs. I like the width of the DT rims, they should be strong enough for light DH.

Why did you go witht he Xt cassette over the pg990?

I went with the pg990 after reading the reviews + the red looks the sex. :(

I have used XT cassetts for years. I go through a couple of cassetts a year so I don't see the need to spend lots of cash on something thats going to wear out 6 months down the line.

I can't compare the PG990 to the XT as I have only ridden them on completly different drivechains. X9 v's my Sram attack / XT.

Plus I'm going for the stealth look :p
