If anyones interested, this is pete wright. Resident trials-forum.co.uk bull****er. The list of things he's come out with is near on endless and he's always the first to have and done everything. Aparantly he had the fastest computer in the uk a while back, and does top secret testing of comonents for every computer manfacturer, as well as advising msn about their servers everytime there's a slight hint of them having failed.

A couple of weeks ago he was "emailed about helping design the rocket ship for top gear" with all his supposed email information being a simple copy and paste from the top gear website. Not to mention the footage for the show had been filmed months before he got his email :p

Aparantly he's a nice guy in real life. And seems normal on msn. He just has an obsessive compulsive bull****ing disorder when he's on a forum.

errrr wow

quite a suprise if true , i was quite impressed by some riding pics he posted a while back :o , oh well

anyway the reason i entered this thread is because i feel the need , the need for painting my bmx :o ( too scared of speed )

i get bored of the colour of it every so often and end up painting it but im stumped to a colour scheme at the moment

suggestions on the back of a postcard ,

no pink , its been sparkly purple before and it wasnt a good look :o , its a nice boring shade of matt black at the moment :/

im too depressed with my mtb to even think about it at the moment because everytime i do i fall off or break it :(

Get it powdercoated a nice orange and have black decals and components.........or gloss black with orange decals and then get a gold KMC chain. :D

no powder coating

its my beater of a bmx and is mostly scraping along the floor with me close behind/infront or underneath it lol

probably be a halfrauds spray can job . promise it will look good though

was thinking orange but am afraid of looking like ive been tango d :( as said it really need black parts to be pulled off but my cranks and rear rim are chrome and i dont fancy ruining them with paint :(

the cheap gold kmc chains a must though since my old chain snapped last week anyway

the hole in my arm is making me think twice about trusting the bodge job i did with the chain tool and a hammer :p

find some industrial companys that may use sandblasters and ask them how much to shot it in with stuff theyre already doing , just mask it all youself

at the end of the month or when the machines due a cleanout where i used to work we usually had a free for all and all the gadgeys who worked there would go mad sandblasting whatever they can be bothered to blast lol

this also happened whenever the boss was away :p

before i knew of that i got a bmx frame blasted and then powdercoated for 40 quid at a car wheel refurb place though ,the paint/powedercoat was tough as old boots,

if your going to do it yourself use nitromors or other brands of paint stripper ,it gets VERY messy though

actually if the frame your painting is in good condition and you plan on painting it yourself anyway then just sand the layer of gloss of and make sure its smooth before painting , no need to go to the bare alu imo

if its a decent frame you want the paint to last on then look at the shot blasting downt to bare then either a spray gun jobby or powdercoating

depends what you want sadly the better you want the more it will cost :(

Latest addition to my stable, bit of an impulse buy and my first purchase of a hydraulic braked MTB...
Purchased S/H but its hardly been ridden, so im not complaining!!

Whats the old school lever? This one http://www.hopegb.com/photos/MTFG1.jpg ? or the older one?

I assume the trials brake has larger pistons to make it a lot more bitey?

I feel your pain mate.....i broke my cuboid, navicular and one or two of the cuneiform bones. :( Tried to walk on it for two weeks after being told it was ok at A+E.

Nah older than that, about 1998 era, 2nd leaver they ever made i think it was.

The Top Gear rocket, thats with The Rocket Men LTD - TRML and i was sent the e-mail via RMR news group uk and via UKRA, as well as FOG. I had the e-mail back in 06 way before the sumemr when it was made and filmed. Many UK rockerts knew of it etc. Go on google the uk.rec.rocketry new groups! There have been vid's flying about that people took that day for ages!

http://www.contrailrockets.com/top_gear_show_2007.htm - The rocket motor manafacture even had it listed way before 07, Top gear mag had in in Nov 06 (when my bro died) and they still had it on there site way before our summer!

I had the latest bit of kit being a E6700 ES QLLO Conroe CPU, 1st in the uk and it was faster than anyhting at time of posting. Now there out to retial and quad core is out. I had it, Bordy tested it then i got heavy and got it back and then i sold it too Azza in the sumer of 06 when i use to live in Plymouth. Azza has it still and floking it for £200 min delivered!

The testing is something i don't do currently as im off work on the sick till doc agrees i can go back due to my bros death, mums death and then my ankle aint healing up right!

You can report MSN errors easy as and you can check the stauts of MSN servers....thats it Kris!

Makes me laugh how sad and lame you are at tracking someone over the net?

You know exactly whats gone on with my sponser as i have said so on TF. Fact i have ditched them and gotten my own sponsers now and have a proto of my own frame being made this week by Pulo (same as Deng's crap) which has been said on TF too. Just i really now refuse to use TF as it's putting a huge burden onto trials as there is no organisation there, no thinking on anyhting etc

Anyway lunch is due then i'm off to build my new wheels up

Really pete, you got the email in 2006? I seem to remember someone saying Here ...

This is a snipet of the an e-mail i recieved today whilest at my Brothers inquest asking me to attened to help as i'm UKRA L3 cert and BRA reg.
... Notice the date? Feb 1st 2007.... and you said you got the email that day.

Tracking you over the internet? Why would i want to :p ? Have a look a few pages before your posts about landing 12 foot drops to back wheel etc and you'll notice me having posted pictures of my bike. I guess it didn't cross your mind that i came in this thread to see if there were any replies ;)

And sponsors? You AREN'T sponsored by hope, and if you mean fresh products... well todge said he hasn't sponsored you, he just made you a frame... we're good mates and i go riding with him regularly and he told me himself.

And IainB...

As for the hydraulics....im impressed :D best brakes Ive had the delight in using, even if they are 'old' compared with whats around today!!

Hope is owned by Ian and Allan whom are family. If i'm not sponsered then why do i have a set of custom gloss white Pro II's here, custom Hope mono trials and a few other bits? Oh and not pay anyhting for it at all??

Todge and me have fallen out. if i get a frame off anyone i expect it to work out the box and not have someone turn around and ask for £370 more ontop of £400 fo soemthing that didn;t.

My proto from Pulo costs me £150 for 2 delivered, custom the lot and thats with a 12 month warranty! Thats mine and Ash's sorted
