The new Tracer really is rather tempting. I had my heart set on an Orange 5 frame when I've saved up the loot but this has thrown a spanner in the works...

Nonsense! They're reet tasty like. There's something about the simplicity that does it for me. Swung my leg over one at Peaslake on sunday and I was sold.

Nice.

Lovely bike, but not that one pictured.
My mate's black one, with CCDB + TI spring and 160mm forks + renthal bar + Formula the one brakes = sex

The Orange 5 is one of those bikes that looks uglier in the flesh.

This on the other hand is the Orange 5's nicer looking American cousin:

*cough*frame has been crashed so much I am reverting to 3 year old pics *cough*

Ok - Mudguards on an MTB.... For nancy-boys or are they deemed ok ?? :p

In all seriousness tho, can anyone recommend some guards for my bike (Hardrock)?

I have very recently stumbled across some nice rights-of-way which, although are not properly built XC/DH courses (only bout 2-3 miles in total), do have some nice drops and seem pretty cool so I would like to give them a go.

They are, however pretty muddy ATM due to rain (I ran one of them yesterday and ended up pretty bogging and my running shoes were covered in crap so I would like to keep the dirt level down as much as possible.

If you want to stay nice and dry and cosy - stay in the house :D
I'd never put mudguards on either of my bikes tbh - its personal. I hate them :D

Get a bender fender :D

I quite like the idea of the Bender Fender as its minimal and, according to reviews, does the job. If I get a white one then it should be practically invisible on my bike....

Got the bike back from Evans on Tuesday for its break-in service and had them do their gear and chain clean/lube for a tenner at the same time so it needs a good mucky-ing up as its all clean and shiny with lube at present :o :p
