Front forks on my Big Hit are 888R's. 8 Inchs of travel baby
 
I want to ask you guys a question:

Can I buy a decent, start of Mountain Bike for about £180 - £280 strictly?
I don't expect to rally of mountains, I live in London and the only thing that comes close to a mountain in the area is prob Becton alps! :p
What I aim to do is take it to it's limits though, not being shy for slowing down to go down a few steps or over rough terrain!

You will get a half decent beginers bike for £280. Probably all you need to start with.
 
Could anyone recommend me a decent front light for around £100?, thats if £100 will get anything decent. Ideally with the battery in the light its self but if thats not possible then it doesn't matter. Also i would prefer a single light instead of a dual setup i keep seeing, or maybe a dual light but in one unit if that makes sense.

personally been using these for years and absolutely excellent, modular build if need be. I would recommend the fast/intelligent recharger, much easier to use. Cannot recommend these highly enough. ;)
 
Meh....my Shermans decided to completly seize up as I attempted a rocky decent this evening! With no spare parts available for Manitou it looks like an ebay job. :(

But, how come when I decided to sell my Heckler 3 other people decided to sell thiers too? How come I decide to buy a Nomad and 2 other people decide the same? MEH!!!

Well, at least 2 people said they would buy my 220mm floating rotor off me. :rolleyes:
 
I had an argument with a rock and a tree. The rock decided to try and throw me as far as it could, the tree decided to stop me as quickly as it could.

I love those frames. Very nearlly got one, but on one went and made a limited edition 853 frame instead!

Slim steel = sexyness IMO, something only one full suss (cove hustler) has ever been in my eyes.
 
Another skinny steel - finished building this earlier today:

Replacement for my Rockhopper, so most of the bits have been transfered though I got new mech's, seat post (borrowed), saddle and cables.

Might need a longer stem but will decide after a proper ride.
 
What a day, been out on the big hit getting some praccy in! Will be entering round 2 of the dragon downhill so getting some fitness in. Anyone on here entered a race? Im looking forward to it, not expecting a good place.. Doing it for fun lol
 
Plan on doing my first race next month. 25k on logging tracks then a 10k run. In the jungle of Borneo :eek: Some pals are doing the trans rockies and another the Megavalanche. Now THAT is a race!

I have marshalled a few races. Fun watching the DH'rs crash and hearing the ambulance coming every 5 minutes. I don't mean to put you off mind! :D
 
Scotty your nutts. Fair play to you for it. Hope you get the Nomad in time for it. I'm still off a bike and itching to ride again
