Right, taking about front shox, why is it that when a few mates who are diehard MTB types have seen my new Cube that they raise their eyebrows and tut-tut "Hmmm, Dart 3's"??.
Is the Dart 3 a really bad front end?.
Its just bike snobbery, the dart is by no means the best fork in the world but if it is your first MTB and your cruising the XC trails you cant go wrong with it.
A friend from work had Dart 2's and for all the negative talk it did perform well around here when we went riding usually at Dalby.

I had the same guy sneer at me when I bought my Pinarello FP1 back in 2008 because it had Tiagra fitted. Funny thing is he is the same guy who cannot stay with me on the road despite having Campy Super Record on his Bianchi.![]()

Yep, this is my curent steed, about erm, 15 years old now I think. It's a Fire Mountain, changed the brakes from cantilever to V-Brakes, swapped Gripshift for quickfire levers, new handlebars etc (all done in about 1999 I think!!)

Although I am geting a new bike, getting a Specialized Hardrock Pro Disc in a month or so. Will be keeping my Kona though![]()
Coming down a fast part of path (with rocks and drainage ditch obstacles) I punctured my front wheel, went over the bars and stoped about 30ft down the trail with a bloodied leg, arm and side. Clich here for more squeemishtasticness
