Yep, i agree.
Need to be eating more.
Load up on carbs before a big ride with good meal the night before (pasta/rice etc) and a good breakfast in the morning (porrige is good).
You also need to keep eating when your cycling. Bananas, cereal bars, biscuits etc are good and easy to carry. Dont wait until you're hungry - keep on eating.

And a big bag of jelly beans in the bottom of you're bag for a quick emergency sugar hit :D

Different question, does anyone else's legs turn to jelly after a long ride or a ride with pace and quite hilly and rough trails, i.e you go to pedal and yor legs just fail to respond, if so how on earth can i prevent that.
Ride more.

If you're riding you don't want to be ingesting more than 300Kcals/hr.

Nice job! Was that on the Enduro or FSR?
I did it on my FSRxc.

Broke my arm at Bringewood yesterday, France trip now unlikely. Having some titanium bling put in my forearm tomorrow morning.
Ouch, I hope your recovery is quick.

Next week is a year since I broke my collar bone so I understand the pain you're going through.

Sounds nasty, espeically you needing some metal in there, hope you recover in a speedy manner and get back riding

And thanks to all who replied about my "jelly leg" issue, ill take some snacks next time, is it worth having a sugar drink aswell?

I seen a post in another section of the forum a few weeks about about a small keychain cam, 7quid delivered, well I ordered one and it arrived a few days ago! I made a temporary makeshift mount and give it a go on a short run today, for £7 I have to say it is pretty good quality, youtube have abused the quality

I bought one of those cam's too, quality is really good for the size/price. How did you mount yours?

Also, ordered my new bike today, hopefully be here next Tuesday

Use two pegs a cable tie and some elastic bands to mount it to my exposure light mount

Going to make something similar to this on the wood lathe when I can get back into work, ill velcro the cam to the flat section so it is easy take replace

Does anybody use headphones whilst cycling?
I dont normally wear headphones when im cycling on the road but i think it might help time trialling (it helps me stay focussed on a turbo). Only problem is when im on the road doing 26/27 mph, the wind noise is so loud that i cant hear the music.

Can anybody recommend headphones that dont have this problem? (obviously they need to be in-ear type for helmet wearing/aero reasons)
