Since you mean converting non UST or tubeless ready tyres to tubeless. This is how I did it using Stans sealant:

  1. With the normal tyre unmounted paint the inside of the tyre with sealant (1 scoop).

  1. Why the heck would you do that apart from to cover your tube in sealant? :D

Apart from that I follow pretty much that exact procedure with my Stans rims. Except I don't add the sealant until I've got both beads of the tyre seated, then use an injector through the velve (removeable core).

You Rock, thanks bruv!
No probs :)

Why the heck would you do that apart from to cover your tube in sealant?

I'm sure it will work without a tube on a lot of tyres but it saves a heck of a lot of faffing around. I did this with my new UST tyres to get the folds out. The Supersonics [non UST] have such thin sidewalls it was next to impossible to get them to mount without using the inner tube method. :)

Edit: Or do you mean painting the inside of the tyre with sealant? I guessed it would make mounting the tyre proper easier this way and less likely to leak air to start with.

No I agree with mounting using a tube, then pulling the tube out one side. Just don't understand why you're painting the inside of the tyre with sealant first.

Diablo opened May 1st, after this weekend I think I'll have been often enough to break even on my season pass against paying per visit. Meaning the next 4 months are "free" :D

The race course is actually one of the shorter rock sections, there are some much longer ones, I love the big chunky rock trails.

edit: Great video, better than some of the others floating around.

lets have a compertition... who has the most orderes with CRC? I have 49. totaling 4.5k

between CRC and wiggle, i have ~25 orders totaling £883.74
i cant beat you with overall total, but i rekon that for the period that the orders were made (2 years), my total is about 30-35% of my income :p

on the topic of tubelessness: is it possible(/easy) to convert a normal rim to a tubeless rim?

Cost I'd say weescott, to go ghetto tubeless yes it's fairly cheap but I bet a large % of bike owners wouldn't know how to do it, I for one wouldn't be able to do it. Too cack handed and would end up making a mess, getting annoyed and sacking it off :)

For a proper tubeless setup, UST or tubeless rims = decent amount of £ then UST tyres, well not necessary I guess more £ sealant more £ on top, then it's getting the wheels built - £ etc.

That's my take on it anyhow.
