I'm not sure on the names Supercrow. I mean something to cover the cogs with the pedals attached as in the past where I've been riding, my jeans have caught said cogs and been ripped apart.

How will a bash-guard stop you from ripping your jeans on your crankset?!

Small question though: bare in mind that I haven't ridden a bike in a very long time now, and the last I did was a borrowed frame too small for me; when sat on the bike and holding the handlebars, I almost feel at full stretch. Is this something for concern? Standing over the frame, I've got a good 3" clearance, but when sat down on the saddal, I feel as though I'm stretching just a tiny bit too much. Does this mean I need a smaller stem?

Don't worry, you'll get used to the terminology soon
You are looking for something that covers the chainrings (not cogs), which are attached the right crank
I'm not convinced that a bashguard (usually a piece of plastic below the chainring to stop you hitting the ground/root/rock and bending the chainring) will do the job.
Some bashguards are round an goes over the top as well, but as I said – I don’t think you get those for triple chainrings as I have never seen any. They might exist, but it’s doubtful.
Why would you ride with jeans anyway, get some decent riding shorts

hi guys is this bike worth £400 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....81508510&category=33503&_trksid=p5197.c0.m619
thats what he wants to end the auction
What about when it's really cold?![]()
Tried on the Fox Flux, a Hex and a Zen yesterday at Alpine bikes. Liked them all but like the look of the Recon. No stock in my local area though

I'd be tempted to wait on the auction ending, as he's advertised it poorly and hasnt included any wording of his own as such.
