It's not you. It's that RP23. It sucks on the T2. What ever happened to you buying the CCDB?

I decided against it, even at that price. The RP23 serves my trail riding needs fine. I had a DHX4 on the mbuzi ... which was a woeful shock, but my jumping on it was better than on any other bike I've ridden

Shock horror, no one saw that coming... oh wait, nope - everyone knew :p :D
Nice to see it confirmed now though and I'm looking forward to seing their new bike. Doubt it will be visible in the public eye for a while, but that mechanic mate of mine said it looks good in it's proto guise.

About time they announced that! I quite like them Scott's. Anyway, good luck to him. Was a pity about this years ACL injury.

I rememeber riding for the same bike shop as him years ago. Knew he was quick then.

The Scott DH bike rides like the dogs dinner, even Floriane's bike is heavily customised. I guess it's one of the reasons they signed up brendan, to do to the DH bike what he (and Sam) did for the Demo a couple years ago.

I meant the vantage or whatever. Not the gambler.

You're right, will be interesting to see what they come up with. Or not, guessing geometry wise fairly standard.

Cheers :) When do you think you'll give them a try? Got relatives hassling me for present ideas and figured for the first time in the history of Christmas I might actually ask for socks!

Well they haven't arrived yet which is annoying. But I have a DH race on the weekend so hopefully I should have them in time for that. Rest assured I will spend most of the day ankle deep in mud.

These are the ones I ordered btw: Link

I've got a couple pairs of SealSkinz for winter use. One thinner pair and one slightly thicker pair for when it gets even colder. They're good at keeping your feet warm as they keep them dry, however as Supercow said they do let water in over the top if they aren't tight!

I've heard the same about letting water in over the top. I've read somewhere that argyle socks are pretty good for mountain biking, gonna order some and try them out!

Had an enjoyable trip to Glentress today, the weather forecast said sun and 5c instead we had 1c and a couple of inches of snow.

Specialized Eskar tyres don't give the best grip tipping into a berm in the dry, they certainly added a thrill in a couple of inches of snow where I managed to get some impressive drifts out of some corners.

A couple of photos from the top of the red route.

Can anyone recommend a decent set of clear frame protector stickers/pads for cable rub? The ones on my Intense are black and look crap.

I've had a snoop around and found a few kits, but I know some are a bit iffy and can come off fairly easiy. What do you guys use, are there any I should avoid?

Where do you guys tend to buy your bike bits online? Chainreactioncycles any good? What other places are there?

I find what product i want then google it and buy from the cheapest, though i'll normally stick to CRC, Merlin, Wiggle, On One, Superstar, depending what i'm buying.

Price match at Evans Cycles if i find something cheap on another website I don't like the look of too.

Try ebay for helicopter tape, I use xpel.com but that's not really viable.
