Are they titanium? (Colour wise) If so they are the nicest forks around right now :p
I would need to sell the Rev's first, but I think 180mm would be a bit much

Trololol, just saw on TFTuned's Facebook page - someone sent a fork in this!

No there white, with nickel stanchens as they were converted from the 66ATA. Think there the 2008 ones.
That Reverb deal isnt bad, there only saving £5 though.

Afternoon gents,

I'm not clued up on bikes at all although I've started working lates till 1am and want something to ride home with at night. It's only ~2 miles one way and mostly roads with the odd bit of gravel and dirt. I do see myself going for short scenic rides on the weekend though so don't fancy a fully fledged road bike.

Any idea on which I should go for out of these that have been recommended in the past? (Feel free to recommend others around this price point as well)

Dawes XC 1.0 Hybrid - £140

Rockrider 5.1 £150

Rockrider 5.2 £200

Cheers,

Does that make you feel a bit better? :D

Suspected that'd be the case at this price point. I'll go for the Rockrider 5.1 as the lengthy guarantee is fantastic.

Thanks :)

No worries, came off a bit blunt but there's not a heck of a lot more to say about it.

SO annoyed - rounded my cleat tensioner bolt on my XTR pedals, no way to replace it and only 3 rides old.

On the flip side, my mate works at Madison and is replacing them for me under warranty :D

Andelusion i got it last week from Ubyk, £638 for frame and shock seemed like a reasonable price!

Supercow what does it ride like? Got a large chainreaction order placed, just wish they would hurry up and dispatch it, I want to get my bike built up!

Thanks for the link on the Reverbs, I just really wish I had the money now, rather than the end of the month. :( I need to get myself some more gloves as well, as I have a bit of a fetish for new gloves. Thinking of some Troy Lee GP gloves, always liked the look of those.

The Cotic?
So much fun I can't believe it. Very forgiving too, I now understand what people say about steel HT vs Alu!

Thanks for the link on the Reverbs.

It's also not quite as good as the Reverb, and a bit more expensive - Andelusion, maybe it should be your next one?

My new bike should be here tomorrow.

What new bike is this again?

Been looking at downhill bikes for the last few weeks since getting back from the alps, I was basically set on a Tues 2.0 but a deal on the Nukeproof Scalp at a lbs has thrown a spanner in the works.

The 2 bikes are:
the Nukeproof Scalp Comp at £1691

and

the Nukeproof Scalp Pro at £2316

What do you guys think about the spec difference vs cost? It will be my first DH bike so my head is saying the cheaper one but its struggling to convince my inner magpie. The only part that concerns me on the comp rather than just being a bit less pimp are the Elixir 3 brakes which seem a bit unusual for a DH bike.
