Haven't had a chance to ride the new bike yet. Only finished putting it together last night and the weather isn't cooperating for riding. I just popped out to the park to snap some pics.

I've been on 29ers for the last 7 years so I'm looking forward to trying this once the weather plays nice.

Went up grizedale today and had a go @ the black graded downhill run (black graded but i reckon it does well to get that grade). Was good fun!
I did the first part of the red graded north face trail and then went down the black route, then back around and did it again. Would have gone for the 3rd run if i had time.
Only bit i struggle on his the sharp corner near the beginning, just couldnt get round it with any speed (tips?)
The rest of the ride out was a bit rubbish as parts of the trail were closed and it was rather muddy.

Here's a vid of someone doing the black route before it opened, you'll see the sharpish corner i struggled with not far in.

Here's my bike at the end:

Still need a new stem and to shorten my brake cable, apart from that i'm happy with it :)

Went out today for a quick loop, managed to kill my front brake pads and the rear seized a mile from home, don't think the conditions helped much...

The water just behind the bike is usually the path I ride on.

Still a lot of love for the Schwalbe Hans Dampf tyres?

I'm probably going to need some tyres soon as might as well do the lot for the new bike. Running Nobby Nic Evo's that have been great and no hassles. Tempted just to stick with them for now unless the Schwalbe Hans Dampf are that much better?

A light rear shock and fork seal service on a Saturday night, living it up!

Going for a light ride round the red route at Sherwood pines tomorrow morning, leaving home bout 7am :-/, hopefully be light by the time I get there.

Sherwood was fun this morning, glad I went fo shizzle. Track was pretty hard from the cold weather and riding on the snow was different.

Start of the red route:
