Hopefully my instructions to win the rainbow stripes again in two weeks will be followed :)

My bib turned up today and damn I look good in it, really shows off the curves on my gut. Seemed to be padded well, but took it out for a 12 mile ride, had a break 1/2 way to hit some balls on the driving range, and can't say I'm that impressed.

I have a cheap bike, Carrera Crossfire 1, but I've put a charge spoon seat on it and just got a Pearl Izumi Elite in-R-Cool bib shorts, but I'm still not feeling very comfortable in the seat, feels like the padding doesn't go back far enough.
Is this stuff meant more for road bikes rather then a hybrid?

Just feeling a bit down, legs are getting stronger and taking less time to recover, but it's my bum that's letting me down. I want to do some more 2+ hour long rides, but the problem is for the last leg of the journey I normally have to stand up.

What a result!!!
Hill put down a stonker!!!
Simmonds does himself proud and Ratboy takes the Title!!!
well happy with that podium.

CRC team really coming good towards the end of the season, i think there are good things to come for them.

Gwinn and Brosnan couldnt deliver, I wonder if it was a bad idea to switch to a new bike mid season? maybe should have given them the off season to get comfortable with it? i dunno probably not the reason for there performances but you never know.

My charge spoon is also really uncomfortable. It gets really high praise so was also a bit disappointed in it. Wish I had not sold my WTB saddle now.

definitely looking forward to more good things from CRC and Madison teams next year.

the CRC guys looked on fire today and the Madison guys being super consistent all year, especially Manon and Simmonds having a stormer today.

Are either of you relatively new to this riding malarkey? If you are, you're going to have a certain level of discomfort from any saddle initially. The Spoon is pretty much known as universally comfy saddle but like anything, it won't suit everyone.

As far as bibs go, I have no idea.. not got any kids. ;)

what he said, essentially your seat bones needs to toughen up.

it could also be that your saddle is tilted too far back if the discomfort is always more in your arse than your seat bones.

Saddles are completely personal preference, just because a lot of people like one specific kind dosnt mean it will work for you
I've got an SDG I-FLY on my DH bike, quite highly rated saddle, i'm glad its on the DH bike because its SO damn uncomfortable, great for gripping between the legs, not so great on the ass.

For comfort, I prefered the Bontrager Rhythm pro, but its a bit of the big and heafty side, and it seems to be very difficult to find in stock anywhere.
I find the Charge spoon to be a good all rounder reasonably comfortable for longer rides, not too heavy, and very good value for money, had them on a couple of bikes now, and would quite happily put one on future bikes.
