Big Chef, Little chef..

Yes I have also eaten at the Fat Duck (I live round the corner from both) and both times I went to his restraunts I hated the food 1/2 of it was tastless and the other half was full of flavor not the good kind though. In fact at the Fat Duck the food was so bad I actually refused to pay t'was a terrible evening. I'd recommend going to the Belgian arms on the green in Holyport and the Sun & Stars Pub near Stud Green if you want GOOD( not famous but good) food near Bray

Fair enough, but then you spell restaurant as 'restraunt', so i'm not surprised you didn't get on with it, try maccy D ;), only kidding.

His place is one of only the only three 3 star places in UK, and has won best restaurant in the world, so I guess he knows what he's doing.

I love eating out and michelin starred places are always a good experience... never disappointed (though maybe i've been lucky). I guess it depends on what you want out of your evening. I love sitting in a place eating slow and just enjoying the whole experience... ie - a tasting menu / table for two. Certainly beats blowing 100 quid down some seedy club on a sat night :)

I must admit in this program he has gotta go a different direction than he is currently... but LOL hard at the little chef manager who always dreamt of working there. (*&^%)

Pan fried scrambled eggs is foul and only results in either a flaked omlette or a rubbery brick. Proper scrambled egg should be cooked softly in a saucepan.

what rubbish, they are identical.. you don't need 8 inches of rim to keep your eggs in. a pan and a saucepan are essentially the same.

We kicked up quite a fuss and If we didn't enjoy our meal why should we have to pay so far as I'm concerned if you didn't enjoy it why pay for it

I think that's unfair at a restaurant like the fat duck though - the costs going into a meal like that are not small. I think if you're going to do a walkout you should pay the basic cost of the meal, i believe any other way you would be breaking the law anyway!

I believe what I heard was false advertising as I did not enjoy my meal or my evening therefore I shouldn't have to pay

He sounds like a person who always complains and always gets discounts.

Nah I give credit where it's due and I'm sorry but in my honest opinion he doesn't deseve it!

i bet you still ate it all though ? probably a few courses knowing you were going to walk out without paying aswell.

The managers over-use of buzz-words makes me want to slap some sense into him.
such an explosive comment! leaping out of the forum like an explosion at a fireworks factory

'Pan fried' denotes the way it is cooked; fried in a pan. You don't fry scrambled eggs. Some people do but what you end up with resembles an omlette that's been smashed about with a spatula.

No if i didn't like it what makes you think I'd continue eating it? Spite well that could have driven me to it but no I didn't eat most of it and felt quite ill after the little that i did eat

Well done, you've successfully showed me I used the wrong words. I still use a frying pan and a little oil though, just a little less heat.

and you fry a scrambled eggs in a saucepan, there is zero difference to taste, texture or technique.
Unless you are so rubbish at cooking you can't even make scrambled eggs, in which case I feel sorry for you.

I'll risk a dig here but you can make reasonable scrambled egg in the microwave. It's just been cooked way to long there. Pan is better but you can improve what they have there 100x still having it in the microwave.

There's no difference between using a frying pan or saucepan to cook scrambled eggs, as long as you use the same heat.
