Why the new speedo, surely it switches from KM to miles with a button press being digital? And most bikes now have a flat beam headlight so they're not LHD or RHD.

Hmm... I would need to find someone with a MT-07 nearby me, but as far as the guy at the dealer said. There's a lamp for UK market and European countries who drive on the RIGHT hand side. :D :p The same with speedo's, there were 2 items in the catalogue.

For about 4 quid on ebay you can get a kit which is a length of hose, a one way valve and a bag to catch the fluid in.

Used it to do my rear at the weekend, none of that open squeeze close messing about as no air can be sucked back in when you release the lever so you just pump until there's no bubbles then tighten the nipple.

That's pretty cool. Are the hose and valve re-usable?

Maybe they're trying to make it less appealing to import bikes and they know no one is mental enough to pay over the odds here and export it.

You save 1000 quid, so that would make sense... When I count in the parts, no point really. If I get a MT07 for under 4k I'll buy it, if not than SV it is than ehh... I prefer the MT though, the position on the bike is much more relaxed, the bikes feels nimbler and the exhaust note with the IXILL in real life without db killers is poetry for my ears. :D

There was a MT-07 in midnight purple with rizoma tomok mirros, puig screen, new vents on front/back, MT edit shorties, MT reseviour caps, MT fuel cap decal, tail tidy, Rizoma mini led strip indicators and IXILL full exahust sytem without db killers. I walked in and asked how much, the guy said its not for sale :( It was done exactly as I was planning on doing it...

Yep that's blocked on purpose, you can change it from kph to mph easy on my zx6r

At Craig you can also buy tropical fish tank one way air vales for a couple of pence, just put one in the line

Nice, thank you! Loads of different ones on eBay you can get.

Another case of something costing 10x the amount just because it's specifically for bikes :(. You can get 10 of them for £1.50 here.

Whaaaa.... that's like saying you lot who live in Europe would never want to come to the UK for a biking holiday...

Oh. :(:p

That is pretty rubbish though, I mean surely it would be cheaper to use that same 'UK' dash on every model? Unless it only changes the MPH and not the odometer etc.

Proper bikes allow mph conversion on their digital speedo, like my Triumph :p

It's so easy to reach the bleed nipple and brake lever at the same time on a bike that I really can't see much advantage in these valves.

I'm lazy, I work on it in the garden so anything that saves me 30 seconds or more is a bonus before I get wet/freeze to death and I suppose it just lessens the need to mess with the bleed nipples which seem relatively fragile.

When you install that valve, share some pictures and how much time it saved you. :)

If only I could get a 'proper' bike without those stupid restrictions... :(

It's just an in-line one, so you'd cut the bleed tube in half and put it back together with valve in the middle. Are you thinking of the ones that replace the bleed nipple thing maybe? You can get non-return ones of those as well, but I'm not going to that hassle when you can just put the valve on the line that you use!

Won't be bleeding for ages yet but it will save a fair bit of pain. Open, squeeze squeeze squeeze, fill... rather than open, squeeze, close, release, repeat.
