That's cheap, those exact ones through Pyramids main site are over £350. Official ones are nearly £500 and 2nd hand ones basically don't exist unless they're practically scrap they also never seem to have the fittings.

The fitting kit alone for a pointy model is the best part of £100 if you can find one.

As it happens I have the lowers for a curvy SV in my garage doing nothing (want to get rid). But as you say the fittings are no where to be seen since I moved house

I still need to swap my battered old front calipiers over for some nice shiny reconditioned ones as well which is a much better use of the cash.
My old rear one was in a terrible state when I took it off.

@spooky yeah its very cheap for a new bike imo

Had another short hour ride earlier. Got caught in a bit of traffic so I thought I would try my hand at filtering... I'm happy to do it when there is a clear gap but at times it got narrow so I wussed out. I guess that comes with confidence though.

I also had some chump in a Golf turn his wheels into the gap I was trying to go through. Don't know if it was to intentionally stop me passing him or if he hand't noticed me but it put me off trying for the rest of my journey.

I'm starting to appreciate just how fast these things can be. I've barely got close to 10K revs in first gear and I'm not sure if I was laughing and grinning due to fear or due to excitement :D

lol yeah I know that grin. Yes some car drivers has some strange methods of thought and are just stupid in certain situations.
They wouldn't act like it outside of a car but for some reason they think it's ok on the road.

A guy in a mini cooper nearly lost his mirror due to actions like and beyond this

I took mine out for a quick blast after work and a young lad in a corsa tried to race me off the line at some traffic lights, I just thought to myself 'he has no idea haha' within 2-3 seconds he was just a dot in my mirror :p

by the time I've bought the seals, paint and if they're as bad as the rear new pistons I'm looking at not far off the price of a fully refurbed set anyway and that's before I factor in the time the actually work on them.

I've had this, and my Versys is by no means quick by bike standards. Silly boys.

Here I get that a lot, last week one in a crappy astra tried it,idk why they try to take you on in crappy cars

They're not even a problem on my little 400 :p

Obviously it's a different matter against something with 300bhp and over 60mph, but away from the lights not a problem :D

I'm certainly not man enough to open her up fully yet. It's currently raining so don't think I'll get a chance to go out on it tonight. But I am loving riding it now.

It's surprising how much faster you can pull away on a bike without even trying!

I had some donkey in a transit van pull up to me at the lights this morning revving away inching over the line while staring at me smiling, lights went amber and I was already 50m down the road before he'd started moving. Pleb.

The best ones are definitely the little asian rude boi's in daddys expensive Merc round here though, the look on their faces as they feel like they're standing still :D

Thinking about getting some braided lines, how easy are they to replace?

Can get a set of cobra performance lines which are licensed under Hel for £60 for a race front and rear.

I've just comeback, went to a Yamaha dealer and tried to negotiate a good price for a new bike. He wouldn't even go down by 50, he said he could do a discount on accessories. But even with his discount I can get them cheaper myself.

So with MT-07 I would need a new speedo which is around 400 quid and a new headlight which is another 170-190 quid. No point in exporting it...

Yup very easy, just get some tropical fish tank hose that fits round the bleed nippled and use the open, pump, close method to bleed. Don't bother with any fancy bleeders.

For about 4 quid on ebay you can get a kit which is a length of hose, a one way valve and a bag to catch the fluid in.

Used it to do my rear at the weekend, none of that open squeeze close messing about as no air can be sucked back in when you release the lever so you just pump until there's no bubbles then tighten the nipple.

Why the new speedo, surely it switches from KM to miles with a button press being digital? And most bikes now have a flat beam headlight so they're not LHD or RHD.
