I do, but I can think of better things to spend my money on when there are alternatives for 1/3 the price that also look great.

+1,

There's a difference in spending your money and wasting it. £230 sounds like nothing to some, my mate spent £240 on a belt (his watch is worth as much as my budget for a bike :p). It all depends how much you earn and how much of that you can spend on your 'toys'.

I, for example hate spending money and I usually think twice before I buy something. :p Although, we do only live once and money is meant for spending. :D

He didn't make you sign a NDA, so tell us :p

+1,

Just tell us, he won't find out. ;)

That was pretty obvious though wasn't it? A2 is 19 or older and under 23, not 18 and a few months :p

Well... I'll give you Poland as an example, you can start doing your exams 3 months before your birthday. But, your license is valid from the day you hit the required age (18 for A2 in Poland), you still get the plastic before your birthday within 2 weeks. But if police stop you, they'll treat you as if you were riding without license. A lot of my mates ridden bikes with license before their birthday and most policemen didn't even notice during a routine control. :p

I'll hold on with my search for a bike, I couldn't just watch it without jumping on it and riding it. I was naughty with the KTM, I bought it 2 weeks before my CBT.

Scooters it is then :p

More like public transport... I hate it. I'll never ride a moped again, never...

How many days before your booking of Mod2 can you cancel it and get your money back? I'll most likely book my practical just after my birthday or on that day and do Mod2 like 4-5 days after. I would need to book it now probably, I'll book the same centre as I did my car practical. :p

I nearly bought a Honda CBF500 2006, 2 owners. The guy had this bike since 2007, older bloke (he kept in garage and only rode it when warm)... only 14000 miles on the clock. FSH from honda, all stock and had michellin pilots 4 which were only just scrapped in still with the little bobbins on the side.

But, my dad has stopped me from buying it and I'm thankful for that. The bike is underpowered for what I'm planning on using it for, the next person after me will definitely buy it. I could easily had that for £1600. Not far away from me either, only like 10 miles. :p

I won't be able to keep up with others on the trip, everyone's bikes are around 100bhp+. The most powerful bike in the group is currently SV1000, they would lose me on straight... :(

It 'technically' has to be restricted to 47bhp, since I'm a 'good boy' I'll have it restricted. But you can't restrict the torque, the SV and MT has double the torque CB has. ;) The power difference only really comes into play at higher speeds, right? :p

Sv650 or MT07, there are loads and loads of bikes available for A2 riders, even such bikes like Ducati monsters.

I'm not that rich to leave the bike in a garage every week lol, SV650 and MT07 are the only bikes that interested me in terms of power/torque, weight, reliability and character. Other bikes are meh...

Edit: What other bikes did you mean, by "loads"?

Watch Schaaf on YouTube, then tell me you can't keep up.

I subscribe him...

From the videos my mate showed me and when he told me what the last trip looked like, their average speed was around 100mph.

The legal speed limit on motorway in Poland is 87mph, and some roads are 81mph. :)

You're right, no matter what restricted bike I would take.... I wouldn't be able to keep up.

The bikes going are: CBR600F, SV1000, Z750, Bandit 1200, Hornet 600, Bandit 600 and I don't have a bike yet. :p

Edit: The other thing is, I'm not as skilled as they're... I also don't have the experience, it won't be long after passing my license and the trip will be on.

Edit2: ATM this will do :D :p

Edit3: How long would it take to remove all of those stickers? I'm guessing, if they're clear coated there would be a mark left after removal? = http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUZUKI-SV-650-S-09-5255-FSH-MANY-EXTRAS-GREAT-CONDITION-/262283869815

Be very wary of bikes covered in stickers. People will often use stickers to cover up scuffs or other imperfections.
Also, if they've been on a long time and seen a lt of light they will likely leave marks if the paint around them has faded.

I didn't think about that, good point. I thought, I finally found a SV650 with all the bits I Want for a decent price. But the stickers could be hiding scratches etc like you said. I'll skip this one than, the other SV that caught my eye is http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suzuki-SV-650-K8-2008-/191804216328

That sucks :( so you can't ride for at least another 3 months :(

Yeah, but that's one of the reasons why I'm being so picky with the bikes, I'm waiting for that bike you see for the first time and say 'she's the one'. I had that with my KTM...

I wouldn't want to ride in this weather though, I would much rather have a car. Its windy, cold and constantly raining. :p

If I get a bike, I couldn't just let it sit there... my will is not as strong, as some of the guys on here. I'm too inpatient! :(

If something pops up that I like, I'll buy it though. :D

I've just comeback, went to a Yamaha dealer and tried to negotiate a good price for a new bike. He wouldn't even go down by 50, he said he could do a discount on accessories. But even with his discount I can get them cheaper myself.

So with MT-07 I would need a new speedo which is around 400 quid and a new headlight which is another 170-190 quid. No point in exporting it...

Why the new speedo, surely it switches from KM to miles with a button press being digital? And most bikes now have a flat beam headlight so they're not LHD or RHD.

Hmm... I would need to find someone with a MT-07 nearby me, but as far as the guy at the dealer said. There's a lamp for UK market and European countries who drive on the RIGHT hand side. :D :p The same with speedo's, there were 2 items in the catalogue.
