Depends on the weather, I'm no fair weather rider but if I'm going out purely for pleasure then I have no interest in freezing to death or drowning!

Anybody going to Matlock on Sunday ? I've still not been fit enough to get the bike out but I won't give up on it till I know how I feel Saturday as after a long few weeks I am actually getting better day by day, Fingers crossed the next few days goes well.

Anyways, Whose going & what you going on ?

My 2 friends on 125s and myself (Honda hornet) will be going but not if it's lashing it down :D

Got some more camping stuff for trips on the bike today, a 3 man tent and a proper 3-4 season sleeping bag which both fit in the Kreiga US30, with a little room to spare for my camping stove and some small bits. It's amazing how much the US30 will swallow :D

So, this came through post today. :)

Loud pipes Save lives, Fact !!! :D

When I bought a Delkevic they sent me 2 so I rang them & asked if there Dispatch department was drunk, Bloke said he owes me & to remind him if/when I used them next time to get a nice discount for being honest. :p

@4T5 Did they send you any sealant with the exhaust? It clearly states on the receipt and manual a sealant is included. But its missing from my box...

I'll probably get around Monday to fit it, I've so many assignments to do its mental... I hope my neighbours will like the new exhaust :D
BTW I'll post a video clip :D

Went and sat on a 690SMC today, what a fantastic bike. I'm really edging towards a Husqvarna 701s as my first bigger bike (RJ is testing one out on his channel atm!) so went to check out the bike they're modeled on. It barely weighs more than my wr125x but has over 4 times the HP.

The nearest place which sells the 701s is an hour and a half away... but speaking to the guys at the local KTM place, they said theres no reason why it couldn't be serviced there as it's pretty much the 690smc with a few changes. That would solve one issue.

The only thing stopping me is the cost - might be a bit stupid spending so much money on a first big bike... the second hand 690s are crazily priced though - they don't seem to lose much in value. Would feel a bit crappy paying for a 4 year old bike just a thats a few k under retail...

I'd deffo get a test ride on a 690, they're meant to be incredibly vibey, after all they have a huge nearly 700cc piston throbbing up and down :p:D

I'll definitely get a test ride when I get my DAS out of the way in a couple of months. Although being a "new" rider, I'd have to put down a stupidly large deposit for the pleasure...

They're supposedly vibey, but also a crazy amount of fun. Prior to getting a SM 125, I had no interest in this style of bike. Now I'm quite obsessed with them ahah.

Have you checked they'll even let you near one right after passing your test? Some places won't never mind how big a deposit you want to leave.

A local KTM place will allow me to try a 690smc, but I'll need to put a thousand pound deposit down :(.

If it's an actual deposit then I'd walk away from that dealer, you can't put a deposit down before test riding! If you mean money to cover the excess, then fine. They should just put a 'hold' on your card rather than actually taking it.

The test rides I've done they don't even do that, you just sign a form to say you agree to the excess, nothing done on your card etc.

A month after passing my test my local Ducati dealer let me test ride a monster 821, £8k's worth of bike, with a £1k excess. The Ducati roadshow wanted 2 years licence, and the Suzuki roadshow (where I rode a GSX-S1000, 140bhp) were fine with a year and had a £250 excess!

Used bike test rides are a different matter though, they're much harder to get. Some places just don't do test rides.

No mate just the can & a clamp but that is all I used & it fit lovely without any leaks, One of the easiest mods you can do to a bike & they just sound so awesome afterwards.
BTW Posting a vid clip is Mandatory :p

As for Sunday, Well I'm really starting to feel better day by day so still haven't ruled it out, If I wake up Sunday feeling Ok & the weather is as nice as it is now then there's no way I'm not getting my bike out & heading over. :D

**** that I wouldn't use a dealer that had that as there policy what the **** is his Insurance for ? Money grabbing that early in the deal at least warns you how the future servicing bills will go, **** him off & go elsewhere.

The forecast is looking bright and dry just a little chilly at the minute, the question is do I want to be up and out the house for just after 7am on a Sunday

Deep breaths! He's clarified the dealer is just placing a hold on his card to cover the excess same as any other.
