The Optimate comes with a permanent attachment, so I can either have my USB thing in, or charge the bike.

I used one of these under my rear seat. Can't go far wrong for under £9.

Those look alright for some extra ports. Do they have 12v cut off? My Optimate USB adapter one has a cut off so it'll never drain the battery completely if you leave something plugged in.
Make sure you get something with enough output if you have a modern phone. 2 amp I think you need for the latest phones?

Need to get myself a new one really. My Optimate one doesn't quite give enough power so if I use TomTom on my S7 Edge, it'll gradually drain even though plugged in so I have to use Google Maps which uses a bit less battery but then relies on data etc.
I'm not actually sure. Mine is wired to the ignition so it's not really an issue.
You don't need to be 2A, but many phones will charge quicker off 2A.
