Do you reckon a Tuono 1100 V4 will be an upgrade to the S1000Rs or just a side step? Getting that itch to change bikes again.

They're both superb bikes. There really isn't much to chose between the two, although the Aprilia has a major MAJOR advantage...noise.

Neevsy sums it up best, which one do you prefer the look of?

Yes, but get a factory version and if you can, the 2017 one :D 175bhp, downblipper, better ohlins front and rear, updated dash etc. Stick an Akrapovic or Austin racing if you want to go really loud and you're done.

Went for my follow up appointment with the consultant after work... turns out I’ve torn one disc, and slipped another to the point it’s touching the nerves in the spinal column.

Next option... injection therapy which is as painful as it sounds :(

It's definitely an upgrade.

I also called this change when you first got the S1000R :p Just watch out for tractors, they have a habit of writing off Tuonos and breaking legs!

So, new Honda 1000cc naked bike has been released...

A new contender for the super-naked crown? A stripped down fireblade with 170bhp and a set of bars?

Hmm... not quite. :eek::p:D

FqW3Dh8.jpg

143.5bhp, 76.7lbft torque, 212kg wet weight, LCD dash, QS on the R model, aaaand that's about it.

It looks interesting, quite cool in fact. More of a muscle bike than a super naked though.

As a comparison, my (launched in 2006, so 10 years old) 2009 Tuono supernaked has 139bhp, 83lbft of torque, and about 200kg wet weight. Was hoping for more from Honda...

I had the choice of injection or surgery. Decided on injection first or I’ll be out of action for 4 months.

They’ve missed an opportunity once again, they failed big time with the cb1000r.

Yeah, I think they knew they couldn't compete at the S1000R/TuonoV4/Superduke 1290/MT10 level so they've tried appealing to another type of buyer.
:p it shouldn’t be too expensive to change either, maybe 3K if I’m lucky.
In that case, get the 2107 version :D :p £11k for a old version or a couple of grand more for this:

I quite like it, i'm hoping the higher spec version looks a bit more mean. Though it needs to be priced well.

One things for sure though, it's not a super-naked. Which makes me wonder whether they'll release something else with +20hp, Ohlins and Brembo.
