+1,

Thanks for the support btw, I called the guys who I did my CBT with. I can't prebook it yet, I'll have to call on Monday as that's when they'll know the dates.

CB650F is the bike, but if someone is doing DAS on that day. I'll have to ride a CB500... :(

I guess anything will be better than the 125 :p, I asked if they do training on Sunday's. He said "yes, but do you want to spend your birthday doing training?" You can guess what my reply to this was haha :D Who wouldn't want to spend their birthday on a bike?

Yeah, I don't see the point in that acting, everyone watches it to widen their knowledge... not for entertainment. Although, a track day with an instructor who observes you is still better as he will pick up your errors instantly unlike you. :p

I'm going to view a bike after work today, its nearby where I work so that's a plus. :) Nothing dodgy, price seems reasonable for age and mileage.

I wasn't going to post anything in till tomorrow, but... I bought a bike. Its in good condition for its age, the bloke who sold it to me is an old biker in his 50's, 60's even. What bike it is, you'll find out tomorrow, as that's when I'll pick it up from him. :D

Nice. :) i reckon it's a 125 :D
Its not a 125 :p
Spill, you must have taken a couple of pics!
Wait till tomorrow, I'll post something special haha :p
its a manky old pushbike with stabilisers:p:p;)
:D:p
No sleeping for you tonight then! :D
The worst part is, I'm at work for 9 hours... :( The worst part, I can't ride it till may.

You'll guys get pictures tomorrow, I'm making a list of what to order e.g. shorties, mirrors etc. atm :D

You'll have to wait till tomorrow Clovis, nothing fancy atm... after I do it the way I want it. It'll look better :)

Jeez calm down :p
HUnaNyGh.jpg

It's not an 'eye catcher', but the bike is in v.good condition and it was owned mostly by mature men. The last owner was 55 yo, he really didn't want to let it go. But he said, he has too many bikes, so time to sell has come. :)

Edit: I can say its quick, tried it on a private road of course. :p

Edit: I want to order bits for it, now I don't know CNC Tomok Black or Chrome? Shorties, black or titanium? Exhaust Beowulf or Scorpion, what indicators? Puig Screen and a tail tidy.

No idea,I've only got one set and those are cheap Chinese ones

Maybe you could sell it back to him should you ever come to sell

I don't want to spend much for something that does same thing, that something else does costing twice as much. :p

I'm not selling it, I'm leaving it... I might visit him and go for a ride when I can.

That's some good,sensible advice lmfy2k ;)

You can also swap the existing bulbs for led ones,no real need to change the whole indicator, but its your machine

Small arrow indicators are a must, I just need to find some decent ones. Any ideas?

I've got a full set of clear lenses in the shed you can have for postage if you want to go that route.

I like that you went from it must be a fully faired S to a naked though :D

Looks tidy, is it a K3? If it is be aware when ordering things like exhausts they need K3 specific fitments due to the rear subframe being unique to that year.
I've always liked nakeds, I only wanted a faired version for wind protection.

It is a K3, I'm aware of the longer/larger subframe. They changed it for K4 so shorter people could flat foot the bike. :p

its certainly one of the the better forums i must admit

I'm a member of the forum, same nickname as on here. ;)

Nice ride, IC3. Bet you're really buzzing about your test now!

The more I ride the more I start to believe in this bike (shocker!!) the way it seems to fall into corners and begs for a high exit speed never stops to put a smile on my face.

This is going to be a good summer

Thanks, like I said its not an eye catcher... but for £1350 I think that's a good buy, especially since it comes from a biker family where everybody rides. Even his wife rides, they had so many pictures in their house of trackdays and eurotrips!

BTW What bike do you have? :)

The SV650 forum is a great source of knowledge. Best thing about it is most of the time someone has already written a post asking the question you have, which saves all the waiting!

As has been said that's good nick mate.

Can't stress enough the requirement to change the exhaust. For me it made the bike and defined its character.

Plus not so many people tend to argue with a loud bike ;)
I'm a member of that forum, same nickname.
Cheers, I'll order an exhaust as soon, as I make my mind up what to order. :p

I'm a bit gutted, a blue SV650S fully faired 07 13k miles for 2k appeared literally after I bought the SV... Oh well, life goes on. :p My SV wasn't a planned buy, I went to see it after work... made an offer he accepted and I bought it. :p

Edit
This bike has 74bhp and 68Nm, the acceleration is crazy as it is. What does it feel like riding something like the S1000RR or ZX10-R? The 125 seems like its not moving compared to the SV :p

@ic3 The zx10r is awesome if speeds your thing,I'm too old for that though now, plus I was sick of shoving petrol in it

It wheelies so easy,I'll sell you it:D
The SV with me on it wheelies on 1st and 2nd gear. :p I'm just saying the SV feels like it has plenty power, I'll see how it goes on a motorway. The 'private' road I tested it on wasn't long enough. :(

I think it looks pretty cool, personally.

Got a 2006 Yamaha R6. I thought I put pictures up but I haven't lol

Need to give her a clean
I remember someone posting na R6 not that long ago, not sure if that was yours? R6's are sexier than R1's :D

go for these mate:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230508286319?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

I have these exact ones from the same seller, you get 2x pairs (4 arrows)

they are the proper Bike-IT branded ones and not the cheap copies of them, you can tell as they have the little screw on the back of them, the cheap ones swivel around and you can end up with the indie pointing towards the floor :p

they are the bulb versions ones though, they do the LED ones but you will need the correct relay or resisters if you want LEDs.
The price is good, this bike will eventually become a commuter bike/work horse so I don't want to invest too much money in it. :p

Thanks for the help, I'll order the ebay bulb indicators and those adaptors.

BTW Its so much easier to put the cover on without the Givi rack, mirrors and that massive windscreen.

To the SV owners, what exhausts do you guys have? (That sounds so wrong :p)

Edit

Mirrors, Shorties, Indicators have been ordered. What's left on the list is: exhaust and tail tidy

I can't wait, hopefully will get the CB650F :)

Edit: There's quite a few SV's around here, tom_e, someone has a curvy SV and I swear there was one more person who still has an SV. Hmm...

Edit2
I had those indicators and they where pretty good. As a pair, it's half the price of one OEM indicator it's a no brainer.

Exhaust - I liked the stubby no baffle/db killer approach. Neighbors might not agree though!

edit: front fender extender is a great addition. Stops the wheel kicking so much crap up at the engine and at £20...
What exhaust did you have?

This place is the reason I ended up with one, I was all set on the ER6F before hand.

Same here, my mates also said to go for SV650 as I won't have a chance to experience the V-Twin for a while. Hopefully this bike will serve me well, I don't fancy a reply of constant breakdowns with KTM... :(

What exhaust do you have tom_e?

BTW The weather compared to yesterday and the day before is crap... been raining since morning.
