There you go.

Passed, got an advisory for noisy rear exhaust.

......same advisory it's get every year ;)

I had a mate who did the speedo thing as well when he used to commute. He had a little sticker telling him what revs/gear to be in to stay at the speed limits :D

It wasn't on purpose, there is a little speedo drive in the front wheel, it's like a little plastic part I guess got brittle or whatever and failed.

I just wasn't in a particular hurry to fix it :)

That looks like you've looked after it really well  But it looks like you still have the original brake lines on it which at 21 years old should have been replaced at least a decade ago (Yamaha reccomend after 4 years for their bikes). You could probably get a 2 line kit for the front to do away with the ugly link pipe over the mudguard.

Too many choices! Will likely pop down a store soon to check some out. Did like the looks of a ninja 650 krt I saw in Facebook, insurance is around £500. There is also a Suzuki bandit which is around £200 insured and also about £1k less for the bike.

I know the Suzuki sv650 suited me a little better for hight than the triumph I trained on did, but the triumph wasn’t uncomfortable
