It probably feels strange because we're used to this place where there's always loads of people online and you end up on here just needlessly browsing whereas that forum is more a if you need to know something you'll log on but apart from that you don't really go on to just generally browse.
I guess so, on here there's a few people that constantly post. You get a nickname from time to time that you never saw before, but mostly its the same people. I like this section of the OcUK forums more than some other forums which are mainly about motorcycles! 
Hopefully in May/summer (if I pass) I'll get to meet you guys in person. 
BTW: New hamicad tail tidy bought, now whats left on the list is: Rental Low Bars and Belly Pan. The bike is slowly starting to look...

How much!?I suppose it depends how much of a pain it is to get all your fairings off to get to them, but it took me less than an hour to fit my new ones and that was with a few minutes of head scratching till I figured out the wires were coloured back to front and that's why they weren't working 
Definitely worth investing in some tools though, a couple of hours of garage labour rates is enough to buy pretty much everything you'll need to take a bike to bits.

I suppose it depends how much of a pain it is to get all your fairings off to get to them, but it took me less than an hour to fit my new ones and that was with a few minutes of head scratching till I figured out the wires were coloured back to front and that's why they weren't working

More hassle than I can be bothered with. Plus all the rewiring and what not. I currently have no indicators at all (I put a picture up a while back) due to the brake light and indicators all being in one unit.
Will definitely be investing in some good quality tools over the next few months but right now, £60 for the bracket, wiring and indicators themselves, isn't much of an issue.
I expect in a few years when I'm more versed in Bike DIY I'll look back and shudder
Never mind a few years give it a few months as some one with no mechanical experience before owning a bike I can safely say they are pee easy to work on once you just get stuck in, there's nothing like that satisfying feeling when you sit back and see something you've fitted/removed/fiddled with all working.
The last bit of general maintenance I was wary of and had been putting off was messing with my front brakes but I dived in last weekend and have no idea why I was so apprehensive I suppose apart from the small fact of not being able to stop if I got it wrong but 100 miles later and I'm still stopping as planned.
Another good thing about learning to do it yourself is if anything needs doing from the beginning of April till late in the year you're looking at booking weeks in advance to get a garage to look at it and that's wasted summer riding!

Yeah I'd say it's pretty similar although more satisfying, I'm in the same boat reassembling my rear wheel and brake caliper in the dark last night was one time I'd have liked a lit garage
Bah, my MOT failed yesterday - as expected. Garage are offering £60 to install the new indicators

What was wrong with your indicators? Or are they just plain broken?
They don't exist! all integrated into the taillight so half lights up when indicating
Yeah they did say some will pass and others wont. But that means paying for the MOT again and running the risk that they might not pass it again either.
Would much prefer to keep it how it is if i'm honest but seems i've run out of options.

Well my old bike passed it's MOT a couple of hours ago with 2 small advisories, Well chuffed that's out the way for another year. New place/bloke was thorough but fair. 
Not bad for a 15 year old bike with 35k up it & MOT Dude told me what everybody else has said "They're Bullet proof"
Prob blow up now.
