I was :D :D I didn't realise that both ends had opposite threads, one comes off going clockwise, the other anti-clockwise :p :o :D

No!:o:p:D Thought you knew that!

Oh well... you learn something every day ;)

They have opposite threads so you can just undo the locknuts and turn the rod to adjust the lever position.

Insurance renewal time :(

BikeSure, Hastings Direct, Hastings Premier & MCE are cheapest.

Any reasons to avoid any the above? There is about £30 difference

Heard & read many bad things about MCE so I'd avoid them if I was you.

Come on Sun get up so I can get my bike out. :D

WAKEY WAKEY WORLD COME ON WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH YAS' :p

Being a good neighbour I reckon waiting till 7am is good enough, I won't make any noise till after 8 as I'll only be tinkering about. By teh time I've washed shaved & walked Frank then tinkered it'll prob be 9 before the bike gets started & that will only be to quietly move off, Don't like waking my neighbours up on a Sunday if I can help it. :)

New Chain & sprockets is on the cards for the Fazer next week as I noticed a few tight spots when I adjusted it yesterday, Think around 130 to 150 quid should get me a D.I.D. Gold Chain & a sprocket set which isn't to bad I s'pose.
S'pose then the next work will be the brakes, Calipers off, a good clean out of the pistons/seals & new pads all round & whilst I'm at it I may as well change the fluid.
Can't think of much else to do after that but I'm sure I'll do all the work I intended to do then just when it's done something else will go that I haven't thought of. :D

As far as the Honda goes I'm just not sure about it at all, It's no longer hassle getting the bikes out now that I have done it a few times so that's not bothering me any more & now I've serviced/Tweaked it & it goes real well it's great fun when I'm just popping about local doing a few visits/chores & stuff.
I have got it up on SWAPZ though & keep getting offered all sorts for it so I reckon I'll just leave the advert running see what I get offered & if owt special/interesting gets offered I'll go from there. I definitely think it's one of those toys/bikes that if I get rid I will regret it forever but my toy money is wrapped up in it so do I cash in & buy a new toy/bike or keep what I got ? I do like to change/swap my bikes/cars/stuff to get a regular new toy buzz & want to keep my Fazer so thought the Honda would make a good 2nd toy & I could do my swapping/trading using that but I like the Honda to much. :p

Mmmmm decisions decisions but great to be able to have those decisions to make I s'pose.
Look at my long post  This is what you get when yu wake up early live alone & have nobody to talk too. :p

Well I'm sorted & I've readjusted the chain on the Fazer as I wasn't happy with it yesterday. Off out to meet up with the COBs' now (Chilled Out Bikers) for a little run out & I'm leading so it'll be all my fave roads & off up to Swarkestone bridge for a cuppa & to decide which route to take home.

Haven't test ridden it yet, got to pick up a satnav tomorrow morning, then I'll pick a destination and try it. :)

I would be out straight away on my bike, if I installed something like a quickshifter. BTW when I Went to my suzuki dealer to get some screws which were incredibly hard to get online, got them cheaper too! I saw a nice Street Triple, those bikes are so small and cute. :) Same with the new SV650, it's a great bike for a female rider. Most should be able to flat foot it without having any issues, I don't like how slim it is though... :(

Its the mirror that is making that whistle noise, you were right tom_e, I covered it up with my hand as I was cursing 40-50 and it stopped. I'm so glad its nothing to do with the airbox. :D

I've sat on a new street triple r at woods dealer in abgele and I'm a big lad, 6ft 2 and I found it to be perfect. My legs fit under the tank perfectly and found it very comftable. I'm too big for the sv, I know that but it's cheap to insurance and buy at the time.

Once my loan is paid up, I'm getting the triple :D

Yeah the SV is a bit small for us tall blokes, I'm 6ft 3 and sat on one and I didn't really fit :D

The street triple R has a slightly higher seat height than the non R, but I'd just go for the speed anyway :D

Puncture repair kits - anyone know of a decent, cheapish one? With just the rubber strips and tools? There's the full oxford kit on ebay with the co2 canisters for £20 so I may just get that.

I need to get a new helmet, the visor opens up when I'm on the motorway. The Shark is not aerodynamic in anyway, its bulky and its loud even with the ear plugs in you can still hear the wind...

As a daily helmet, I'm thinking of spending £200 tops. Thinking about getting AGV K3 SV, any good reviewing websites that would help to narrow down the search? A lot of the reviews I saw so far, say that every helmet is 'great'...

I'm sorted than, cheers :D

Edit: I tried the GT Air and Large was a good snug fit, are the shells and sizing similar?
