Was just about to post that!
Guess it was his day.
That's the kind of video I shouldn't be watching the day before my training. Makes me question why I even want to ride now. Even when you're not the one being a hooligan you can still pay the price.
I'm sure you won't be racing down the motorway with no number plate as fast as you can on a sports bike quite yet

But thats no different to being in a car, plenty of stuff in the world is out of our control, just ride and be happy

Well apart from stupidly wanting a 600 sports bike for my first bike (bad idea i know - I blame my uncle for pushing me towards it and away from the idea of a 125 for a year) I've heard too many horror stories of which my uncle has been involved in or seeing one of his closest childhood friends essentially lose their head when slamming into the back of a lorry on their way to the Isle of Man.
But yeah, I certainly wont be blasting around unless I get to do track days. Already told both my uncle and the friend who I will be riding with that I will be taking it super easy the first few months. They're fine with it and said he'd go as slow as I need

125s can get boring very quickly, especially if used as a commuter.I started on a 600 sports bike.. no regrets
It seems to be mostly american forums which say new riders must start on a 250 or they'll die. I can only imagine that is because their test, or sometimes lack of one, is super easy?
Found a r6 i might put a deposit down on today. just waiting for the garage to send me all the details
Just hope I pass on Tuesday now

When I was doing my CBT I had a lot of fun on the 125. Sure, it was slow and ancient (old Honda CG125 that is apparently on their 5th time around the clock!) but I really enjoyed it. When I got back to the training area and my CBT instructor said I should just do the DAS and told me to sit on the Honda CB600F I felt intimidated by the size but once I started riding one I loved it. So much easier to ride than the 125!

The way I rationalise it, if you were in a car on the other side and a motorbike flies over the central reservation and through your window screen, you'd be in same position as that unfortunate biker was. Sometimes **** just happens.

Everyone who is against it tells me 'Why are you wanting to be a biker, you are only going to crash and die'.
My response is simply, if you want to do something in life you do it right? If you don't do it, and your in a position to be able to do it, then it will become a big regret.
The way I see it is that even though I have not been riding for long, it is by far the best experience on the road you can have. I have been driving for almost two years and am bored already, so it is time to be a real man!
It annoys the hell out of me when people say being a biker is a death sentence. Granted your far more likely to be hurt, but life it about risks right? Just being aware can save your life.

I think the toughest it gets in America is a safety course, which is comparable to our CBT, and then they basically go to a post office with this certificate to get their license. I think in some state they literally just apply and they have a license

whether that's a motorbike, a women, or whatever else floats your boat

what is one of those, can't remember the last time I dated one! I really, really REALLY want to get out on my own, but tests come first!
