Bikers Youtube thread

Yeah I have no hair growing on my left shin after coming off in regular jeans. Have Rev-it ones now.

Tefal came off in a pair of John Doe (IIRC) kevlar jeans at motorway speeds and said they held up very well.

twice.

after the second one the trauma nurses/doctors at the hospital said if i hadn't had them on instead of strapping up my mallet finger (an injury most commponly caused by getting your hand cause in bedsheets) they would instead have been talking about how i was going to walk for the rest of my life.

i did learn though a 70mph off on smooth m62 motorway tarmac = very little damage.

45 mph off on very rough shopddy pot holed tarmac on an inner city dual craigge way = huge abrasion damage.

Shift his body to the left, on a right hander? All that will do is increase the lean angle, which was a major cause of the crash...

You want to lean off the bike to reduce lean angle which is what he was doing.

Shift your body to the left at low speeds, motocross style... it helps. :) I nearly crashed like that when I was training for my license. :p That's the tip my instructor gave me.]

Er... no way will I be doing that with a heavy rucksack! Guaranteed way to go splat at the first corner.

What speed were you doing? I did it on a car park whilst doing one of the parts, U Turn or figure of 8. Can't remember
