Hi All

Just got my brand spanking game in the post today and cant bloody install it :mad: :mad:
Get to the auto patcher screen during install and it wont connect so have to cancel the installation.
Rang Take 2 and they said the server is down and wont be up till tomoz for patching and activation :mad:
Dont get me wrong i never encourage downloading torrents and prefer to give my money to the developers for such an amazing game but this as p***ed me off no end today having it sat here and cant play.
Screw them from now on !!!!! mad as hell !!!!!!

If you cancel, do you need to go through the whole install again? As the patcher is at the end of the install, after the files from the DVD are on your hard drive.

EDIT: Just saw its got an option for proxy settings. Think if you put in a US proxy you could activate via the US servers which I presume will be up?

maybe as its not out till tomorrow they want to stop it happening early ?:P and have that power to do so.

i've done mine via steam & cant play yet, the bugger is it wont play it till Monday :(
 
Afraid it cancels the full install and you have to start again from beginning :mad:
This is just not on all this crap is so annoying :mad:
Let me know how you go on with the US servers
 
Same problem here, arrived this morning, got all excited, but the auto patching servers are down :(
Rang Take 2 tech support 20 mins ago and they said it should all be up and running in a couple of hours...
 
It better be up in a couple of hours. What happened to just buying a game and then playing it... Things are far too complicated nowadays.
 
There was someone who got their copy yesterday from ocuk and was able to activate so I don't think the servers are down because its not the release date yet. Must be some other problems.
 
Please post back when they do come back up. I've got the game waiting for me at home and would hate to go through the motions of installing just for it to blow up in my face.
 
Well I've tried a couple of proxy servers in the US but the autopatcher just sits there doing nothing. Pressing stop doesn't work - only a ctrl alt del can stop it.

Silly me for paying for this. No problems like this with the warez version I'm sure.
 
Oh dear, same problem here! It's a bit pants isn't it. Good job its a gorgeous day and I have the day off, time to go outside and get some rays :cool:
