Bit of a pickle - women trouble....

Because you are not happy with your current girlfriend.

I may not be over the moon with the current relationship but am content with it at the mo - however, with the future working hours looming over our head - where does that leave us?

**EDIT**

would you be happy in a relationship that consisted of only seein your partner in the evenings at bed and on sundays???

With time to talk to her about it.

re:edit: Definitely not post-11pm evenings. Would be manageable as a stop-gap, but nothing more than that.

OK peeps - I have come to a decision!

I am going to talk to the current gf tomorrow about the future work hours etc and air my concerns to her n see what she thinks.

What I do when I'm unhappy with a barmaid is offer her a transfer to another pub in the company on the grounds that things aren't working out, and then I find a better model. In your situation, the only difference is you found the replacement before you passed the ball.

You may have hit the nail on the head!!!

had to post one more time cos i didnt want that last one to end it on number 666

I think the probelm here is that if you want your relationship to work, then a sacrifice is going to have to be made by one or both of you. As it is, you will find it hard to conduct a relationship where your time together is so limited.

The key is to talk...

She has recently finished uni n is just starting out on her career. I wouldnt want to stand in the way of that and know how important a career is to her. When I finish my masters I am looking to dive straight into a career and the only problem is the different work hours due to the different career paths we are taking.

OMFG you will NOT believe what has jus happened!

My gf has texted me sayin her left ear is burning and as such what am i saying about her!!!!

...they find out....they always find out..... :p

Seriously though, I am in a similar situation to you. Having finished uni last year. I made the decision to stay where my girlfriend was and sacrifice having a career until we could be together. I've had to put up with a No swearing! job for a year, but I don't regret it. I'd rather have given something every chance than bailed because I needed to join the rat race like everyone else...so far so good...but I still don't ever take things for granted. Think thats the key.

she has told me tho that there are blokes out there already with a gf n they jus want a bit on the side with her n that she thinks they are scum! As a result I had already told her i was single!

To be honest i would make this a reality. You are not doing anyone any favours, yourself or your Gf by staying in this relationship you plainly seem to have lost interest in. End it now yes i will hurt her, but immagine how much more it will hurt if she finds out that you have been actively looking for someone else while in a relationship with her.

Thats the way i see it anyway.

I am actually thinking about spending £25 on a taxi to go n see her now as she wants to know what I'm "thinking" about and think it would be better said in person.

All I'm going to say is that there's only one person who needs to be hearing the things you're concerned about.....and she isn't on these forums....go you big idiot....go see her....
