Bit of a Rant about the benefit system

I want to say 'shaft all the ****ers', but frankly the problem is created by the state.

If taxes in the UK weren't punitive you'd find people more willing to work because they'd notice a substantial difference in their living standards and corporations would have more operating capital with which to hire them.

But then again, Britain has been colonised by half-wit-touchy-feely-loony-lefty morons. The lunatics are running the asylum, as the phrase goes.

ok so we stop giving them money altogether open up some soup kitchens where they must go to be fed some primark or other type store voucher for clothes about every 6 months
so there kids can have uniforms for school and a bus pass so they can get to the job center to look for work gas, elec, and rent paid directly by the state at an agreed lvl with the companies them self this should be able to secure a huge discount then if no job is found after 6 months they have to do 6 weeks of voluntary work if they fail to show up there cut off from the benefits all together for 12 weeks

and if that don't work dring back the work houses from the victorian era :D

Absolutely. Surely in this day and age, it wouldnt be too hard for the vouchers to be POSTED to them or collected at the job centre. Vouchers with a PHOTO of the claimant on it to prevent transfer.

The amount of cash given should be drastically cut down. Not having cash should make it inconvenient enough for these chaps to get a job. Vouchers and direct payments for utilities should be enough to prevent them from starving/freezing.

I get working tax credits and child tax credits but Im the only 1 working. I dont agree with people staying at home and raking in the benefits tax payers pay but I pay my taxes and claim in back from my working tax credits. I have 4 kids yet go to work everyday and my wife looks after the twin babies and 2 older kids but would love to go back to work as soon as she could.

We dont get as much as that women, not even close to half of that amount but we do claim, same as a lot of other people do.

I think they should stop it for the families who choose to have kids to claim the benefits of money and dont go to work just because they cant be bothered. If you CANT work then fair enough.

Yeah, it's really terrible, providing jobs for the jobless! HOW DARE THEY WHEN YOU HAD THE MEANS TO PAY FOR YOURS THEY SHOULD GIVE IT TO THOSE WHO CAN'T! HONESTLY.

"Can't" or "Won't"?

Exactly!

I had to work months in a bar saving everything I could after paying all my bills to be able to afford it! I saved in order to better myself and earn moreover to eventually have my own place etc and support a family in the future!

If they WANT to do the course they should again earn it! They should save just like I had to! Why should I have to work hard a save for it? What I should be doing is sitting at he doing nothing and just wait for it all to land on my lap!

I can't afford a new tv or to go out this weekend! Maybe if I just sit here and do nothing the gov will pay for me! And eventually they will! That's wrong!!

They get money, its spent on living costs, I doubt anyone on benefits has savings or a private pension and is probably in massive debt with brighthouse.

But they read 'if I have a kid I will get £100 (or however much it is) a month! And then for every kid after I keep getting more! And I don't even have to work!! Result! Right love get your knickers down it's time to live for free!'

The whole corrupt system is surely going to come crashing down eventually.

Maybe, when there are not enough working people to fleece to pay these outrageous benefits and when we run out of immigrants to replace lazy British people on the factory floor.
Let's be honest, we have had to import a workforce because there is no incentive for Brits to work in unskilled jobs. Sadly, those immigrants are becoming wise to the system now, and are becoming part of the problem. I see this first hand, Polish girls getting pregnant with no apparant father, and the council housing department is only too happy to intervene.

:mad::mad::mad:

There are 101 different scams people pull, current one with the immigrants is scamming free school dinners.
When they marry the surnames don't change, so when they put in the paperwork the checks don't show up that one parent is getting working tax credits. Bingo, another £40 a month of freebies.

Please list all 101 different scams so we can inform our lovely government.

Not in all cases!

Some get rent paid (usually £400+) council tax (usually £100ish) that's £500 right off the bat before they get job series's at £200 a month, then child benefit at £100! Theres £800 easy now a minimum wage job after tax you will take home about £800 a month! That's around my area that's a full 45hour week on £5.83! Without doing the full math I don't think I'm far off

It is crap but it is the system. If your on benefits and have your rent paid you would have to find a job that is near enough full time to get the same net effect. Why would you work when you can sign on and get the same level of income with slightly less luxuries.

Personally I work full time and can't afford to move out and rent yet or until I get a pay rise. I run my car and try to enjoy myself with whatever money I have left.

I know people who's benefit goes straight into the pockets of drug dealers.
