BitFenix Prodigy Mini-ITX Cube Case

Yes, you must do that :P 4.7GHz with 1.35v and a cooler that only cost me £40 keeping it at under 65*C under load... Brilliant little CPU... Be sure to ask the original owner if its a good clocker!

An i5 SB cost you £40? Surely not! If so, that was a steal n a half.

you can fit a 6990 in that case and as for the psu you will struggle with all the cables as its non modular but if you good at cable routing then it should be ok :)

Probably. Although it sounded like he got the cpu and cooler for 40.

Nononono, just the cooler :p the i5 was £159 from OC about 8 months ago :D I was just highlighting the fact that an 'average' cooler keeps it at that temp.

case arrived today.

will be using mine for my NAS. better than that fractal array ****.

very good case. very pleased

Don't ask me mate!! lol.

I think the stock TIM on the Ivybridge CPU's is a bit poor - might be wrong. Or people just trying to get the best temp possible when overclocking.

Has anyone got plans to mod these cases yet? Any side-windows on the agenda? Re-located graphics cards using extenders? Custom watercooling loops? re-spraying?

There's a few threads on the forums with custom loops - I'm currently getting my parts together for mine.

May also go for a window if feeling adventurous.

ahh, looks like risky business... So the aim of the game is to remove the top of the cpu and replace the thermal compound underneath? I wasnt even aware there was thermal compound underneath :p

So if you did that AND lapped the CPU you could potentially drop temps by a vast ammount... Hmm... interesting :p

Perhaps i will try it in the future when if something goes wrong it wont matter as much money wise (still studying at the moment)
