Black Desert Online

I have been running it on a 290 at 1440 with graphics set to high and it can vary from 25 to 40 ffs. I've not noticed ant real frame drops but the furthest I've been in Velia so not really encourage tired a lot going on. I have just bought a 980 ti though.

Sorry didn't really get on much yesterday as was watching the footie acme had to do some other bits.

Won't be on muck tonight but will be on Friday and over the weekend top do enshrined and group up.
 
Had some good fun running about the land and exploring the starter area, it felt a bit lonely and quiet for the first 20 minutes. T hen I suddenly came across hundreds of people and it felt more like an MMO again... especially with the kind of stuff being talked about in the chat.

Seems to be running fairly well on my old 670 with medium graphics settings, I'll try ramp it up next time to see how badly it collapses if I try switch to 'high-end' mode.

Managed to do a little bit of gathering and attempted to do some fishing but I couldn't initially work out if I needed to do anything beyond pressing the space bar. I'll have to look into that a bit.

Will be back in the game on Saturday as I'm out for the next two evenings.

Are you looking for a 'connect' button on the tab with the server name on or the list of names underneath it?
When you click on the Alustin server option, it should show a bunch of names below it similar to:

Velia A1
Balenos J1
Balenos J2

...and so on.
You connect to one of those to join the server, each one of those is a channel within the Alustin server.
 
I think i might take a chance and roll as a Sorc as my main in the hope that they become better for sieges in the future. I just love the look of their abilities from watching videos, plus i usually play a relatively easy class as my first toon in games so it'll be a change to main a hard one straight away.

I would say from what i've heard they are classed as hard to master. Good class, just you'll notice the good from bad ones.

Doesn't do anything when clicking on the button for the guest pass on the account page so i'd hazard a guess that we can't give them out until the game goes live later this afternoon.

You can download the game from here in preparation if you don't already have it though.

I'm definitely a bad Sorceress at the moment.
I find myself frantically mashing buttons in combat with little attention paid to the actual combos... I'll practice doing it properly if/when I get around to trying PvP but against the general mobs in the early levels it doesn't seem to matter much.

Tried to create a raft, grossly underestimated the time required.

Urgh.

So tonight I'll be focusing on grinding/questing and collecting mats with workers to build a fishing boat. Then over the weekend get that sorted as Trish and I want to fish AFK.

We didn't level up one bit yesterday, so I'm still level 16 and she is 18. All we did was mess around and work things out.

Then we decided to do some exploring, tried to take on the guards at the castle in the north east from Velia... Yea, we ran like hellfire real fast lol.

Also, them doing day 1 server downtime for maintenance, not a wise move lol
