On 850 EVO we cannot touch the place your referring to which is no doubt Rainforest, we simply cannot compete with tax dodgers.

Samsung only give the game to resellers who actually buy legitimate stock and pay their taxes. ;)


Intel CPU's are USD product, unfortunately exchange rate is doing us zero favours, now down to 1.50, making our GBP cost higher, considering two weeks ago the rate was 1.56 so of course they have being cheaper in the past. Exchange rate is even out of Intel's control. :(

Yes themselves, places like Tesco they get offshore warehouses and on small items they can typically avoid taxes.

Yes Samsung are pi$$ed, yes the government are pi$$ed.

Hopefully the government will soon put a stop to it as a 20% advantage makes it impossible to compete on a product where the margin is typically under 10%

No I think all SSD is now on This Week ONLY, only the Sandisk 512GB is a Black Friday deal which is still running and live, though half the stock is now gone.

Nope, but you could just browse the 980Ti and 980 section under regular components, it still displays the reduced prices. :)

In all fairness we did not need to do any discount on Skylakes but we have, we sell over 50 a day so we essentially just gave £10 profit away per CPU because were nice like that. :)

But the discounts all add up when This Week ONLY has so many items discounted, that if your buying CPU, motherboard, RAM, graphics that the discounts can quickly equal well over £50 saving and a saving should never be sniffed at. :)

No more bundles, components after tomorrow will be so heavily discounted buy the parts and reap the savings, because we go so aggressive on the components, not possible to then have saving on saving on saving otherwise we'd be selling at a big loss. :D
