Black Mesa has been in dev since 2004, Ep2 was released in 2007.

Black Mesa has been an ongoing project for the past 8 years, gamers have been waiting since the end of 2007 for Episode 3 (I tend to think Ep3 won't happen and they'll jump straight onto the next full game).

Embarrassed? They have the gaming world humping their leg for even a whiff of news. We wouldn't let anyone else get away with this. If I was Gabe I'd be feeling pretty godly more than anything.


I do hope this turns out to be a good as it looks and not turn into another Duke Nukem Forever.

The website countdown is currently at 1 day, 1 hour. So presumably you will be able to download the files at half 3 tomorrow. The Steam greenlight will take longer to come through, so presumably they will be distributing it via the method they had planned before.

Granted its Source, but..

Because it's a half life 2 modification, if it was a half life modification it wouldn't use this engine. You say it's a modification of whatever game you start modding the mod with.
