Black Mesa Source

Loving the mod so far, just got past the first Ichthyosaurs, however there are a few things that are bugging me:

1 - The reliance on crouch jumping, apparently Gordon can only jump about 1" vertically.

2 - Getting off of ladders seems to be a bit dodgy in some cases.

3 - The god damn View Roll setting won't save so I have to turn it off every time, gives me motion sickness and makes it feel like Gordon is wearing roller skates

Anyone know how to reduce or remove the mid level loading?

Surely having 6GB of RAM and 1GB of VRAM is enough to play a whole level without any loading?

The size of levels is limited by the Source Engine rather than how much processing power and RAM you have. Maps have entity limits, brush face limits and pre-cache limits. The only thing that will improve is the speed of the map transition.

Glad you mentioned that, I've kept the View Bob on so far, it doesn't really bother me, though might try it off for being more like the Original.
Mainly though because I wondered about Auto-Aim being on even though I'd turned it off, as I kept on getting cracking headshots that I was sure were off target. I just thought, oh I'm just pretty **** hot. Checked now and that re-adjusts itself to on every time, on Normal Difficulty anyhow.
 
I found the most random bug, theres a little room underneath a flight of stairs with a turret on top and when you have flash light on and shine it on the box with tools on in there it drops your fps to 30 :D
 
So what moments is the Mod, has members chuckled at?

Security gaurd winning bet.
Scientist on ladder, saving friend. Slips from ladder an it falls on him, killing scientist.
Radioshack scientist "The soilders are going to save use"
 
I'm enjoying this so far. I like that its not just a flashier version of the original and has a bunch of variations and additions, like giving Kleiner and Eli names rather than leaving us to guess who they are. And the headcrab in the microwave!

Those first two are bugging me as well. Has Gordon put on several stone in 14 years or has Black Mesa's experiments increased gravity in the vicinity? His jumping is woeful.

game is in the proper folder, showing up in steam, have the source sdk, but when i go to click "play" nothing happens?

:(
 
Does anyone else get FPS drops when being shot at by a turret or more then 2 smgs?

I capped my fps to 60 and when the above happens it drops to 30, I don't have VSYNC on I'm using launch options +fps_max 60 also I played another mod in this thread called 'Mission Improbable' by the dice team at 70+ fps..
