Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

I didnt really think this was great at all. Nice film to watch but nothing special. Must have been hard to rewrite a hole story though when your main character die.

Super easy, barely an inconvenience.

Make M.Baku the next black panther instead of noodles McGee. Have some common sense in the plot so its not so ridiculous. Take out the "drumming to get through the shield into wakanda scene" Done.

watched on Disney+, glad I didn't pay to go see it on the big screen.

Total snooze fest for the first 1/2th to 2/3rds of the movie plus the expected cringe of Afro futurism colliding into contemporary western film politics.

... Banging on water drums to open supposedly high tech shields, an army that still fights primarily with hand weapons (although to be fair the same issue is present with the space Vikings) and the comments about US higher educational institutions when Wakanda is, even within the canon, only not a collection of mud huts because of 'space magic' in the form of Vibranium.

The absence of Boseman to carry, it like the last outing, really showed.

The weakest of all the Marvel films in my view.

3/10 at best for me

Will comment my opinion tomorrow but no way this is worse than Thor 3, that was straight garbage.

My wife and child had both given up watching it half way through, a first for a Marvel film.

It was incredibly dull and if they were trying to set a more 'serious' tone then they failed at that as well outside of the opening scene.

Love and Thunder wasn't as good as Ragnarök but I didn't have large sections of L&T where I was seriously considering just turning of what I was watching and reading the Wikipedia article in the hope that future movies would improve and so that I didn't miss any wider plot arcs.

Personal opinions may vary but for me this movie was rubbish when compared to anything else from the MCU inc the first Black Panther film

damn this was boring - 4/10 at most.
I had to rewind several times as i dozed off.
That was me trying to give it a second chance last night on D+ after seeing it in the cinema.

Re-affirmed my original thoughts on what I felt was such a boring and overly long film. There's at least an hour of filler throughout, it's honestly a chore to watch.

Ok so this movie is definitely longer than needed. The wakandan that rescues shiri, she didn't have to kill the guard when they showed they have non lethal weapons.

Yea so some random girl built a vibranium detector from her garage. She wasn't even needed throughout the movie and seemed forced. Then there's a her 'ironman' suit.

Namor doesn't look intimidating at all but he was really strong like the comics. Shiri gets impaled through the stomach then has a little flashback and flips in front of naymor ftw.

Then namor saying she's the most powerful person, yea na, without that explosion she was going down. Then he just sides with her at the end when they were about to win. Yea I know what he said about an allegiance but still.

Was hoping killmonger was alive and duked it out with naymor as a wild gambit but oh well. They should have recasted Chadwick and moved on.

Had some ok bits, but not a patch on the first movie. It's no where near the worst of the marvel films so worth a watch, at least once if you're a fan. Some bits are a terrible cheese fest though. They learnt nothing from Iron Man 3 either, lets just build and give people Iron Man like suits! And of course a young inventor that forces the story along...

Bring back the Thanos arc, it peaked then (infitiny wars), and went way, way, way down hill since.

Finally watched this.

What a patchwork mess of a film.
Laughing at the CGI.
The needless body count over nothing.
I didn't even hate it but it was garbage.
The supporting characters... Cringe
