Black pudding

I've had tastes of others' fois gras in quite a few restaurants and it doesn't excite me. The idea of some goose being forcefed to its death doesn't do anything more to endear it to me.

the more an animal suffers, the better it tastes.

likewise, the rarer the animal, the better it tastes.

Damn you OCUK forums.

I just went to asda to get eggs, sausages, rolls, black pudding and scones to eat for supper.

Was very tasty.... I've leave the french toast till another day instead.

Did any of you manage to see the f-word with Janet big-teeth Porter doing the spot on blood? Now don't get me wrong, i like a bit of black pudding with my sausage, egg and bacon, but some of the stuff she was doing was foul with a capital F!! Pigs Blood pancakes and some kind of pigs blood dessert! Euuurrrggghh!

And as for Haggis.....if you ever had to make the stuff and stand over the big cauldron stirring it, not being able to get the smell of the stuff out of your clothes/hair for a week would soon change your mind, plus seeing all the sheeps lungs, heart, liver & kidney being boiled then minced then shoved into a sheeps large intestine...euurggh!!

black pudding rocks, proper butchers stuff though none of this supermarket cack.

White pudding is also fantastic. But you cant beat a haggis blackpudding and tattie scone roll :D

I never really liked Haggis, had it a few times but it never really sat with me for some reason. Guess it's down to personal preferences though.

Yet another thrilling office conversation gets translated into a thread. What are your thoughts on the stuff? I love it but some people can't stand the idea of how it's made.

The only thing I won't eat because of how it's made is fois gras. Don't like the taste and can't stand the thought of how it got on the plate.

After finding out what Fois Gras was just now, (google) I really have just had the last straw.

Im going vegetarian.

I normally find myself in agreement with you on most things, but can I throw Kobe beef in there? :D

I'm not that huge a fan of it. my preference has to be towards a high-quality 'traditional' steak.

Black Pudding is great with a good fry up :D

Unfortunately my girlfriend won't go near me when I eat it!

I've seen the geese being force fed, it's not that bad tbh.
Afterwards they just seem to forget it.
