Blackwell gpus

Time to bring out the gif again?

Why does he do this anyway? I've noticed it for a while, guess it's just a quirk

Nvidia will probably unveil Blackwell in September with RTX 5080 launch about a month later in October and RTX 5090 launch a few weeks later in November? Make sense.
No point buying the 5080 if you want the 5090 and it's much faster, unless the 5080 is a lot cheaper of course. If it's a similar situation to the 4000 series then the 5080 won't be worth it.

Not saying this will be the case, but what would be cool is if we got a 5080 at $999 that slightly edged out the 4090 in performance and had just 16GB vram.

This would be hilarious as you would get mrk squirming and saying yeah but 16gb is not enough and he still prefers his 4090 :D

The icing on the cake would be if it had access to DLSS 4 which was exclusive to the 5000 series

If those specs are correct I’m thinking the 5090 die will be around 800mm2

Hmmm

Hmmmmmm.
3090 > 4090 = +56% more cuda and +49% boost clock. +70% performance

4090 > leaked 5090 specs = 50% cuda and +15% boost clocks

Can’t see the 5090 being anywhere near the 4090 generational performance increase unless it hits 4ghz clocks.

Must be a Nvidia powered gaming pc as the RGB is even set to Nvidia Green in the preview video ;) .
