Can see Blackwell being more of a Turing with large dies and a mediocre performance uplift.Blackwell to be short lived
its replacement is called Rubin and is due in Q1 2026, production starts Q4 2025 and on shelves in Q1 2026
NVIDIA R100 "Rubin" GPU with HBM4 memory reportedly enters mass production in Q4 2025 - VideoCardz.com
NVIDIA Rubin production starts in late 2025 The expert thinks NVIDIA still has a long time before Rubin can be made in large numbers. Can see them dropping the 5080 as almost a 4090 'replacement' and pushing the price slightly at $1300ish (still 16GB though). Gonna have roughly 12000 cuda cores if leaks of 96 SM units are correct.Possible. If the price is stupid to go with it I will just skip it I think.

Am really not sure if they will price the 5080 so high
It looks like the sales of the 4080 were really bad when it was priced at $1199 and nvidia had to drop the 4080 super price to $999
Aka BananaInPyjamas
MLID saying the 5080 will be $1200-1400 with performance around a 4090, if this turns out correct then Blackwell will be a massive failure.
GPUs are getting like housesSounds great to me, will keep the resale value of my 4090 sky high

I want to see Jensen do a Ampere friends it is now safe to upgrade routine and announce their 5080 "flagship" card at $999 with 4090 performance
Imagine how beautiful that would be?
Jensen would reduce mrk's epeen to being this big:
The 5080 going to have more performance then a 4090 and cost $999
I be surprised if it doesn’t have better performance then a 4090 with the higher memory bandwidth helping the performance of it other increased specs & clocks
