Blueyonder/Telewest speed upgrades

I was told yesterday by the support desk that it should be by the end of the week for Birmingham/Solihull area (but that's really what we've seen anyway). I'm getting my old SB3100 cable modem swapped out on Friday just in case.

Will the old surfboard modems not operate at the new speeds? I've got a SB4100 :(
You're fine, providing you're using Ethernet with a 100Base-T NIC in your machine.

The SB3100s only had a 10Base-T port and thus couldn't achieve the full speed on the 10Mb service.

The Motorola modems don't show the name of the config file, all you'll be able to see is that the modem rebooted, which in itself is a fair indication that the upgrade has arrived.

well im currently getting 3 mbps according to speed test, although i should have been uograded to 4 meg.
checked the log file and it says this - 2006-03-28 21:06:13 4-Error 0x041D050C SW upgrade Failed after download - Incompatible SW file

I just rebooted my modem and spent an hour looking at a blinking flashing light with no net access.

And because I rebooted my router the log has cleared too.
